It is one of the pull chains. If it has two chains, one if Fan On/Off and three speeds and the other chain is Reverse Direction. If it has a third chain, that is Light On/Off.

1. Check the wattage of the bulb. you may have fitted a higher, dense filament bulb.
2. The Switch - if you have a dial type knob on the switch, turn that higher to see if the light brightens.
Bent??? Or just LOOSE? If it's loose, it can be tightened easily (it probably requires just a screwdriver). If it's truly BENT, it probably can't be fixed - those brackets aren't usually available (they very seldom get damaged), and they're cast so they cannot be straightened. Even if they COULD be straightened, it'd be very difficult to get the bend exactly correct (which is why they're cast instead).
I believe this fan is sold by a private lable on the internet. You probably need a new receiver which you'll have to get from the store that sales that brand.Google it.
