WS65511. No power. Reset light flashes for 30 seconds or so, but will not turn on afterwards. I ordered a DM repair kit for $35-40. Do you think this kit will fix my problem? Same thing happened a month ago, but it turned on after unplugging it for 30 minutes and using reset button a few times. This time the reset/unplug trick is not working.

Yes! There is a fix!!

This is an extremely common problem with Mitsubishi tvs old and new. It can be fixed easily and cheaply for those willing to use their hands.

Refer to this guide to replace the capacitors on your DM Power Circuit Board part # 935C9860. You could also have someone else do it for you for $100

Guide for DIY repair: http://hdtvoice.com/voice/showthread.php?t=32186

Paid Rebuild Service: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m570&_nkw=PWB-PM-ASSY+REBUILD+SERVICE

That fixes the problem most of the time.

After replacing capacitors is you still get green light try replacing the EEprom. EEprom board also known as the E2P board is part number 935C978001

Green light blinking

Diane,

I do not have the service manual but have instructions with pictures. Will email them to you. If you have never soldered check look for instructions on utube and with some practice you will be able to de-solder and solder. A utube video that is great is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_NU2ruzyc4. Good luck.
