First off, go to this web site and enter your model number- it should have more letters in it than numbers (the number you provided might be a serial number, not sure):
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/
This should give you some diagrams and parts lists.
This following web page describes your problem, and how you can fix it:
http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/refrigerator-not-cooling-evaporator-coil-freezing-up.html
Once you get the coils defrosted, a friend of mine said if you wrap a piece of copper wire across the two evaporator coils, and connect them, the coils will not ice up. I never tried this myself, but it might be worth trying.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

Hello Rick,

That water is from the melting frost of the automatic defrost cycle. Their is drain in the freezer behind the back wall under the evaperator coil that is blocked, so instead of defrost water draining it's pooling in the freezer or in some case espically on models with the freezer on the top,the water is leaking from the freezer vents into the fresh food compartment.
The way to clear the drain is remove back plate and remove all ice build up and GENTLY make a small hole in drain through then totally flush w/warm water.
The exact location of drain is under the coil behind back freezer plate in the center

Good luck

I hope this helps

My freezer seems to be still working but my refridge isn't getting cold?

It sounds like you have an ice block. Depending on the type of fridge. There is a panel on the back wall of the freezer. Freezer on top models you have to remove ice maker . 3 screws in ice maker holding it in place 2 on top and 1 under. Two screws on back panel and 2 on bottom plate. See if there is an ice block when you remove panel. Coils should be frosted not iced up. If iced up than you will need parts. Defrost thermostat, heater, defrost timer are the ones that can cause and ice block. I would call a appliance repair tech for a definite part problem. Most will tell you the part as part of diagnostics. If you need further assistance you can write me back. Side by side models the panel is at the bottom behind the drawer. You will have to remove usually 3 racks above that to access the whole panel.

Bad defrost timer/ thermostat???

It definitely sounds like you have a bad defrost timer, that is the reason the coils are icing up on you. The next issue, which may or may not be related is the freezing of items in the refrigerator. Usually the cold air is transferred, through a vent with a damper, from the freezer and into the refrigerated section. The "thermostat" for this section is actually usually just a lever to adjust the position of the damper. That being said, usually when you have a problem such as you are having, it is either a stuck or broken damper (or damper component). Hope this helps

Kenmore Fridge, freezer compartment is cold according to thermometer, but ice wont freeze & frozen foods thawing out, weird. Fridge part is about 65 degrees. What could it be?

Should be around 10 degrees.

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.

I have a fridge freezer prol plc55ffs but what way do i turn the dial for the freezer to go colder is it toward the 0 or 7 because the food doesnt seem to be freezing properly?

Warmest would be nearest the off position, probably 0. Is the compressor motor cycling on and off or running all the time. If it's running check to see if the evaporator coils inside the freezer behind the back cover are ice up blocking the flow of air. A light frosting is normal. If it's iced up you have a defrost probelm.

Refrigerator not cold/Freezer cold.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp .

Kenmore fridge

First we need to see if the compressor is running.  Pull the fridge out take off the lower panel on the back and see if you can hear it running.  Also, need to know if freezer fan and fan by compressor is running.  Check for thick frost build up on back panel in freezer.  Let me know what you find.
