I JUST bought a insignia speaker 2.1 (model # NS-PCS21) and the speaker plug ins are pluged right, power are plug in, the green and the red cord plugged in... i see blue light comming up. my computer sound...

Greetings - The setup (as you already know) is simple. If you have the a/c adapter plugged in, the power on and the green speaker cable in the audio out at the back of your PC and and the red cable plugged into the subwoofer and the volume knob on the the right speaker turned up that's all it takes.

The one possible gotcha I can see is if you have something plugged into the jack at the BACK of the right speaker (an AUX jack for things like MP3 players, etc.) it will override everything else.

If that's all good you have a bad set of speakers.

Ok my new pc has 7.0 audio and I have bought the above mentioned speakers and plugged them into the back of the pc. Everything is on the power and all cables are where they should be according to logitech...

Have you configured the sound output in Control Panel / Sounds to accept the speakers as output, checked the line out volume is not set to mute and that the green cable (line out) from the speakers goes to the green socket on the mobo?

Also, have you tested speakers in another computer r laptop and your computer with a different set of speakers?

How do I hook up external speakers?

You should have 3 small round recepticles on either a sound card at the bottom of the back of the tower, or in your system board which may be further up. These recepticles are usually green, white, etc. They may have small markings showing which one is for an external microphone and which one is for speakers or earphones. Without knowing what make or model of computer you have, it is hard to be more specific.

Saadddd.no sound????

Are these built in speakers? If so, check the speaker drivers and the application that control the speaker volume etc to see if it is actually muted.
If they are external, check the power source.

Cant find correct sockets for speakers

There are usually several small holes in the connection board on the back of the desktop computer. The makers inscribe a small icon next to each hole to describe what they are for....sound in, sound out, record, etc.
I can never interpret what the icons mean, so I just plug the speaker wire into each hole until I get sound.

Be sure to have sound activated (via the software) on the computer before doing this. If you have the sound muted or worse yet, have no sound driver installed, you won't get sound no matter what port/hole you connect your speakers to.

Wharfedale s20030 speakers broken?

First, check input power (electricity) of your speaker. You can see lamp indicator on speaker (usually LED lamp, Light Emitting Diode, green light or else) must be light ON.
Two, jack line out (usually green) on the speaker, you must touch that jack. Don't worry, you can't heart attack cause of it (for touching that jack, DC-Direct Current supply). If you hear some noise, sound of droning, buzzing, that is indicate of sound will be come out from that speaker.
Three, you play WinAmp software (or Windows Media Player, from Microsoft) and get in one of mp3 file, and load it into WinAmp player. Make sure if your mp3 file is normally sound.
Four, plug in your green jack (of speaker) to the line in of your sound card (refer to mainboard PC, if your soundcard get in ONBOARD or plug in PCI slot). Green jack line of speaker to socket green of sound card.
Five, now you can hear sound of your song....

No green led light on bose cinemate system

I had the problem, after a lightning surge through our house, that destroyed item connected to the telephone lines. The Cinemate interface unit stayed red (powered), but could not get green light to come on, and obviously no audio. Found through Bose tech support that the the units are failing from surges "too often". They are trying to find out why and fix the longterm problem. Tell them you had a power surge (which you likely did), the green light won't come on, but the remote works with TV, etc. They will send a UPS Return Tag for you to send back the small interface unit (only). Upon receipt, they will 2-day air you a new one. It solved the problem.

Sony XM-2200GTX...Power, Green Light, All OK, No Sound!

Sony generally drives their power light from a source that does not rely on the amplifier's switching power supply. This means that it's not a good indicator as to the health of the amplifier.

As long as you have B+ and remote voltage, it will light up. Since you've tested the speaker and the signal source, I think the amplifier is likely defective.
