Your Barracuda has a inlet restrictor installed that must be removed when you use it as a vacuum. With the unit unplugged and off, open the inlet cover by inserting the tip of a screwdriver into the latch area on the vacuum inlet cover. Gently tilt handle of the screwdriver toward the front of the unit while pulling on the vacuum inlet cover with the other hand. Turn the inlet restrictor located inside counterclockwise to remove it from the unit. Do not close the inlet door. You will next attach the vacuum tubes. There are 2 tubes, a lower and upper. The upper tube is cut straight on both ends and attaches to the blower unit. The lower tube attaches to the upper tube and one end is cut at an angle. Locate the arrows on the upper tube and the arrows on the vacuum inlet areas. Line the arrows up and insert the tube into the opening on the unit and then twist clockwise until it seats. Install the collection bag over the blower outlet and secure with the velcro strap. You are now ready to use the unit. Here is the owner's manual with instructions and photos. http://72.3.225.179/manuals/545117523e.pdf

How do you attach the bag to the barracuda 2595 blower

The motor housing has a spring loaded, hinged cover over the fan blades (so you don't chop your fingers off when using it as a blower). Open the cover using a screwdriver or narrow tool. Holding the cover open, attach the vacuum tube. Attach the collection bag to the discharge port (same place you attach the blower tubes) and secure in place using the velcro strip sewn onto the bag. Adjust the ******** the bag to fit your shoulder, turn power on and go. To empty the bag, just unzip the bag completely. Make sure you tighten the velcro strip so the bag doesn't come off while you are sucking up leaves.

My leaf eater starts to smoke. Where, or is there a place to oil the moter?

the electric motor should not need oiling sounds like you are running on a lightweight ext cord and under powering motor try hooking up to a plug directly into outlet see if problem persist

Where can I obtain a replacement vacuum bag (in Calgary). The zipper on mine has broken making it unuseable.

Go to http://www.ereplacementparts.com/weed-eater-parts-c-17589.html Enter your model number. Then click one of the thumbnails that comes up until you find the replacement bag. My model number was 2595. I clicked on the thumbnail in the top row on the right and found the bag (part # 15). You can order direct from them and they ship right to you.

How do I attach the vacuum bag and get it to work

There should be an air intake grille of some type, the bag should have a round opening that fits over a collar around the air intake, it may be held in place by a Velcro strap.

You don't give much detail to go on.
