Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone

1 Answer

USB Connection When I plug in my I Phone to the computer it does not recognize it. It doesn't do anything. I have a wall charger and that works, so its not the output. I checked the cord with another I phone and that works properly. My I-tunes is a 7.6. Please help with any answers. Thanks

Laptop does not recognize usb connection to phone

The problem very well could be that it isn't connected fully (maybe not fully plugged in). or that the USB port on your laptop is dysfunctional. The charger could even be malfunctioned. Try to charge in another USB (as not all are powerful enough to do so). If that doesn't work, you could buy a new usb cord to try that, and then if that doesn't work you may just want to stick to using the wall charger.

Hi
its seems like you have loose connection inside of phone. because home button and charger port have same pin connection.
My advice is you have to take your phone to technician.
thank you.

How do I charge my Verizon Motorola Droid using the USB cable and my computer. I've plugged it into my computer, but it doesn't show that it's charging.

Hi,
Plugging it into your computer should be no different then using a charger...it still uses the USB cable.

Here are a few things to check...

do not try a USB port that is off your keyborad or anything that does not come straight off of the motherboard...the phone pulls too much power and it will not work...

Try a different USB cable... some will not allow charging but will still tranfer data...

Also check and see if it asks you to install drivers for your phone...if it does, you will need to have them installed to charge the phone...

My best guess is that you need a different cable...

My phone only charge with usb cable, the wall cable is not working, please help !!!

You probably need a new wall charger. The wall and the computer USB deliver 5 volts to the phone, so it sounds as if your wall charger is the problem.

It could be the charger, the phone's power interface, or your battery. When you plug the phone in to charge it, does it recognize the charger and show the lightning bolt symbol for charging?

If you use your computer's USB port to charge it instead of the wall charger, does it act any differently?

Sometimes my Iphone will not charge when i connect it to the wall charger. I just bought my iphone a couple of months ago.

If your iPhone is not charging when you plug it into a wall charger or into you computer's usb port, this is a usb connectivity issue and the connection just needs to be reset. All that needs to be done is plug the iPhone's cable into the phone but don't plug into the computer yet. Hold the phone's select button (the round button with the square) down for about 30 seconds or until the apple appears on the screen. your phone will reload and reset the connection and the computer should recognize the device. Allow the phone to charge for at least 30 minutes before unplugging.

If the battery will not chage it needs to be replaced. You can do this yourself if you are technically inclined. http://www.ifixit.com/iPhone-Parts/iPhone-3G-Replacement-Battery/IF137-002-1
If the phone is under one year old or if you purchased an AppleCare Proteciotn play you may be covered. Call Apple at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273) and talk to an Advisor about your options.

Will not charge and does not get recognized by I -tunes

Iphones and ipod touches can be picky about connecting to the computer. If there isn't a direct usb connection to a powered port (if you go to a hub) sometimes these things won't charge.
You can use a power adapter from apple that your ipod/usb cable will plug into and then you can plug it direct into the wall outlet at home...
Works like a charm and is quicker than charging usb.
