Make sure that your sound drivers are installed. you need these drivers for yor Sound card to work.

you can check by going to Control Panel and then Sound Icon and then go to Audio. you should see a device indicated in there. if its grayed out it means you need to install drivers.

Your sound card drivers is in the CD that came with your computer.

No sound coming through to headset

need to know more. while headset is plugged in try very gently pulling the jackplug out of the socket, if you get sound with the jackplug positions you may have the wrong six
ze plug or the headset may be faulty. try the headset on other devices that function correctly. Also plug another headset into the socket that the headset is currently is plugged into. If another headset functions then the headset must be faulty. It is a matter of experimentation to find what the problem is but you might need a known working headset to carry out the testing procedure.
Good Luck

Speaker keep popping in & out on one channel

This could be for one of several reasons.. Try to work through the system to diagnose where the problem lies. Here are a few things to try.
  1. Do you get the same fault on headphones? If yes the problem is the receiver or sound source
  2. Swap speaker's over - does the problem stay on the same channel or does it move across? If it moves it is a problem with the speaker - check cables, plugs, quality of connection at both ends. Try wiggling cables along the length to see if cracked cores.
  3. Check plugs on inputs make sure they are not loose. With RCA (phono plugs) rotate them backwards and forwards a bit in the sockets to clean contacts
  4. Try using a different input source and input plug sockets (c.d. IPOD, turntable, TV), to make sure the problem is not with the source.
  5. If none of these solve the problem it may be dirty controls on your amplifier section. Rotate volume and tone control knobs vigorously in both directions several times to clean contacts. If this produces a crackling noise you have located the problem.
If none of this solves it then it is probably a faulty electrical component - take to competent repairer

You tune-up your car by changing the spark plugs, wires and oil change. if you have a four cylinder car you will have four spark plugs. If you have six cylinder you will have six spark plugs. You need to make sure you use the correct spark plugs to replace the old ones. Check with your parts company to make sure you get the correct ones. You will also need a spark plug socket. Remember when you take the plugs off the spark plugs, if have to remember to put them back the same way they came off. If you don't it could make the car misfire.

None of the lights go on on the control panel. Dishwasher will not turn on. Wall plugs are in and the disposal plugged in to the same plug is working.what's going on?

Before you start pulling the machine to bits, just try plugging it into a different socket or an extension cord if there is not another socket close enough. (If it is currently plugged into to double socket don't just try it in the other one, make sure its a totally separate power point).
repost if problem still persists.

GE WJSE3110A0WW washer works fine until the six-minute stage on timer, then it will not spin or agitate. Sounds like it is trying, but does not function properly until time associated with six minutes...

i've had the same problem until i pluged it directly into the wall socket not with a drop cord that way you can get the full voltage needed to run the machine and don't plug it in a socket that has other items pluged in it

try a six point 14mm or 17mm .socket...make sure to use a thin wall socket because sometimes a impact socket will not fit due to thickness... try a chrome deep 14mm or 17mm six point socket with a 7in extention..and break them loose first by hand with a breaker bar or long handled careful if useing a air impact tool.because sometimes the headbolt are so tight they begin to strip on the head of the bolt and then u will have a problem

Pavilion a288n video loss

Check your memory. Memory is one absolute sign for no video. Also check the pins on the video plug to make sure none are bent or broken. You must make sure the pc is turned off when doing these things. And make sure your video card is seated all the way down. No gold showing outside of the pci slot. Also you can try another pci slot. Sometimes they fail. You can also try plugging your pc and monitor into another wall outlet. Believe it or not it is not uncommon that one wall socket will put out more power than another. I've seen it 1/2 doz. times myself in older houses.
If none of these suggestions work & you don't mind letting me know I could give a few more in depth possiblities to try.

Check ports are operating correctly, go to Control panel>performance & maintanace>admin tools>services. Look dow list for 'plug and play', make sure this is set at automatic, the furthur down list 'Universal plug & Play' and ensure this is set at Manual. if all is ok then it may be a usb power issue if you ave lots of hungry usb peripherals, try disconnecting some and try your problem periheral in a different usb port.
