Rainbow e2 aquamate

Hi, I am having trouble with my shampooer. Water will down come out of the white basin when I squeeze the trigger. Everything is hooked up properly. Do you know if this is an easy fix?

How do I find if the duct is obstructed, the only access I see is from the hole where you put the water in.

What is a wee screen? The tubes fit into the vacuum tank. Thanks

I'm sorry I just read my first posted response. I wrote "water will down come out of the white basin when I squeeze the trigger. Everything is hooked up properly."

The problem is water WON'T come out of the basin, I'm an idiot for not checking my original post. I should probably repost.

  • deucedown May 27, 2008

I apologize, I didn't word my first post correctly.

The problem I am having is that water is not coming from the white basin when I pull the trigger of my rainbow e2 aquamate. There is no water flowing into the two tubes. I can't figure out how to take apart the white basin to take a look at it. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it??

  • deucedown May 27, 2008

I didn't word my original post correctly, is there anyway you can look at what I meant and try and diagnose a way to fix it?

Thank you for your help, you provided the best solution. Thanks to everyone.

You could try blowing some pressurized air down the tube and see if it unclogs anything otherwise do you know if your pump is working, can you hear it running? Please let me know and I would be happy to keep working with you until this is fixed

Also check to see the hose from the water basin is water tight and the seal is not faulty. If it is, you may have to replace the tubing..

If you have the Rainbow e series, then this manual will explain exactly
how to remove the separator from the wash basin and the basin from the
caddy. (Please refer to page 6)

    http://www.rainbowsystem.com/pdf/manuals...
A special tool is stored on the underside of the power unit next to the
separator , which you can use to loosen the brass nut holding the
    separator.

The manual also provides instructions on how to remove the basin and clean it.

In my opinion, it is most likely a blockage in the tubes that must be
causing this problem. This seems to be a common issue with this
cleaner. There is also a small metal ring between the separator and
basin that may be dislodged and causing this problem. Please the manual
for an idea of what I am talking about.

Hello ,

U r missing a wee screen that fits on the hole where the little hose plugs into the tank. Check inside the hose end or down inside your shampooer box.

Where do I get an adapter for my rainbow shampooer

This really depends on what Rainbow you have and which Aquamate you are using. There really is not an adapter for the Aquamate. The newest aquamate out there is for the E2 type 12 black that came out in 2012.

There is a modification of this aquamate to fit older E series vacuums (comes with a cord) , but you will need to have an electrified hose made for water pick up to use. You can find that aquamate here

How does the nonelectric hose detach from the wand on rainbow e series to connect to aquamate

Rainbow E Series attachment hoses fit the wand with friction. The wand will just twist and pull out of an attachment hose. Now for use with an Aquamate, if you have the newest aquamate like here:
Rainbow AquaMate 3 carpet shampooer , the aquamate needs an electrified hose made for water pickup and a stainless steel long pipe (stainless steel so it will not rust, you can use chrome but it will rust) .

Aquamate is making a high pitch sound and the brush isn't moving

Check the belt and brush roller on your Aquamate. The belt may have slipped or be broken. There also may be a build up of hair or fibers stopping up the brush and preventing it from turning.

MY RAINBOW VACUUM HAS LOST SUCTION POWER AND i DON'T KNOW WHY

Your Rainbow E series has lost suction power, because you need a new hepa filter, ot your water basin gasket is messed up, or the center motor gasket is messed up or out of position.

Make sure your water basin is not cracked or broken, also.

If you have any more questions let me know. I am a Rainbow seller, and a Rainbow expert also.

Thank you,
Ralph

If it is an earlier model, everything applies, except for the filter. They do not have filters, on any of the earlier models.

Don't know how to use carpet shampooer

You should have the new aquamate, it has a blue top to fill with the water and water/soap solution that pops down into place. You will need to use your power nozzle hose and tube, connect it to your shampooer (make sure to connect the power connection just like the power nozzle). Fill your water up, large compartment is for cold water only and the smaller compartment is for one cap full of soap then the rest filled with cold water. Start with just a splash of water or an empty basin in the rainbow. The trigger will control your water spray and the brush underneath. There are two levers on the back of the shampooer marked with a shower head and a bar of soap. Use the soap with the shower head and the soap on and the water only with just the shower head on. You will want to also go over the area shampooed with both off to **** up the remaining water. Make sure to clean your floor thoroughly before shampooing.

Aquamate II NOT WORKING !!

If this is pre-owned unit that you bought - it may be clogged. If people who had it did not rinse shampoo solution out of the system after using it - shampoo becomes thick and sticky when dry and may clog the tubes. Also it may impair the pump.

Pump may also be defective. It should make a humming noise while in operation. It is hard to hear when vacuum is on so take the Rainbow with water bowl of the white AQM basin, turn on the vacuum while AquaMate is still plugged in, put your hand on the black plastic on the white AquaMater water nontainer and you should feel pump vibrating inside.

If you feel it start with filling up the white tank and bottle with warm water, turn AQM on and try rinsing it. However if water can not get through at all - it will not help.

Then take the handle apart (a bit tricky but be careful ant to break the plastic and you will get it open). See if there are no clogs there. in tubes nor the VALVE.

If no clogs fing - you will have to acces the pomp and few short tubes inside this plastic box assembled onto the water tank. to get it open you may have to break off 4 latches that hold top halve to the bottom. You can purchase one HERE. Make sure that tubes inside are not bent at the sharp angle and obstructing the flow. If you need any tubing - you can find it cheap at Home Depot (have a sample with you so you pick the right diameter).

Clean all tues inside and you possibly will have to take the pump apart to get it cleaned. If it is not working you can buy one HERE.

Stil no luck - put EVERYTHING in a plastic bag or several bags and then in a box and ship it to us - we will get it running.

Good Luck,
Rocky

I need to shampoo my carpets today and this is very discouraging. Somebody please help. I hooked it up and followed the directions. Comment by Angela31, posted on May 26, 2008 We are having the same problem. Everything is connected and no water is coming out. We have only used our Aqua mate 3 other times. Please help. Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Rainbow E Series Canister Wet/Dry Vacuum / Aqua Mate. It has been a long time since I have operated a Rainbow Aqua Mate so I suggest that The best solution to operate the Rainbow Aqua Mate is to contact the Rainbow Tech Support line listed below or to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer and have them send out a Rainbow Aqua Mate owner’s manual so that you can operate the unit successfully. By listening to the 3 questions listed above the actual water basin I believe is the recovery water tank to be emptied when full and I believe that there is a separately bottle or tank that the solution goes in order to dispense the water.
If you have further questions please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer. . So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Rainbow aqua mate II instructions

You have the vacuum and the basin, you put them together just like when you vacuum but don't put water in the basin. There is a large white container that comes with the shampooer. you fill that up with water and then you place the vacuum cleaner and the basin on top of that. Now you will need the water hose (not the one that has the gas pump hadle). Hook that in the same spot that you do for vacuuming. Then you take the shampooing handle( it will have a trigger and a little white bottle and some tubes hooked to it) the one end of it hooks to the water hose and the other end hooks to the wands. There are 2 wands that come with your shampooer. At the end of those the shampooer head will be attached. There are two separate tubes there is a thick tube ( there two tubes fused together) and a thin tube, they hook to the large white container that you fill with water. Just look and you will see where they go. Then there is a tube that hooks to the shampooer head at the bottom. The you take the little bottle and fill it with your shampoo. You should have gotten some clips to hool onto your hose so that you can keep the tubes attached to it so they aren't in the way. You should be set. I hope I helped.
