On the icons screen, click camera icon. The camera automatically gets ready for taking a shot. Now, aim the lens situated on the top right (other) side of the phone, viewing the image on the screen, tap the 'camera image' above the Home Button. The snap is taken and saved automatically in the Camera Roll folder. To view the shot, simply touch the left-down icon (containing your snapshops), all the snaps can be seen by sliding the pics.

My camera takes multiple shots, three in a row, for one click. How can I get camera to take one shot per click?

There is a setting for this. Depending on the camera the setting is in the Menu.
Usually you use the single shot S setting but for sports events 3 shots can be taken after each other.

I want to take action shots

Try turning the flash off. You can also prefocus and meter the exposure by pressing the shutter release button halfway. Hold it there until the right moment, then press it down the rest of the way.
