Tv guide not working

I have 4 panasonic dvd recorders with tv guide. All worked perfectly. Suddenly none of them will show listings. I have unplugged them. Pushed in the channel up & down together to reset. They say they are in the process of downloading, but it never happens. What is my problem???

I have 2 Panasonic DMR-EH55S dvd/hdd recorders with EPG. Just love them but the main machine I use suddenly quit loading TV listings. The old machine still does but I record hdd to the new machine (which worked perfectly from May to July 11/12th). Now all I receive as info is "no listing". I called Panasonic who had me turn off machine for 1 hour (I left it about 1 hr. 30 min.) and also tried a reset. Have gone through the original setup many times, too, thinking that may work. Giving it the 3 days or more to get TV guide listings (after originally waiting 8 days), nothing has worked thus far. HELP!!!!!!!!!

same problem, no tv guide listings will load, I have Britehouse with no cable box

My TV Guide was working until yesterday and suddenly not any more. We relied heavily on that feature, to remind us to tape things.

    Any solutions at all?

My cable company pulled the plug too. My listings ended at midnight. Now I am not sure what to do. If anyone finds a good replacement let me know. I don't like the DVRs from the cable company because they do not have direct burn to a DVD. I like the DVD and Hard Drive combo I now have but I am already missing the TV Guide feature. I did discover what would have been a good alternate expected it seems to have died too. (See http://www.microsoftprogramguide.com/ for more info.)

The problem may be due to the fact that the Cable supplier has discontinued supplying the TV Guide on screen feed. This is what has happened to me and I am researching other ways to get the feed into my recorder.

I get this problem from time to time when I have more than one Panasonic DVD recorder scheduled for programing (or updating) at the same time -- or recording when the other would be updating. It is really annoying. If I restart from the beginning and disconnect the other recorder, it works fine. It appears to me that they interfer with each other in some way. Sorry, I don't have a real solution -- just that my DMR-EH55 will download the TV guide and work again if I disconnect the other panasonic recorder.

I am getting a U99 error code. The only function

The "U99" error code signifies a "general communications failure."
It is not associated with one specific problem.
It can be related to the version of firmware your DVD recorder is currently using and it has been associated with the TV Guide on screen guide.

If your unit displays U99, turn the power off-unplug the
unit for 5 minutes, and reconnect the power.

If U99 reoccurs, please contact the Global Service Center Network for assistance.

The DMR-EH60 has been working fine for a good five years then it started intermittedly loosing sound when using it as tuner for our display panel. Now there is not sound at all even recordings from TV onto the HDD. Any ideas?

I am currently researching the convert boxes for my dvd recorder. I found that some dvd recorders already have digital converter boxes already installed. This might be the case for you.

Remote control does not work at all.

The winner is....

SET 1 on the console; press and hold the ENTER button down and while holding Enter; press and hold "1" button for about ten seconds together. Your remote and console should be in sync again and try cutting off the dvd recorder with the remote and it should work.

THIS WORKED FOR ME!!!!

THANKS!

Panasonic DMR-E85 DVD recorder TV Guide problem

Try unplugging the DMR-E85 power cord. It is important that you unplug it from the back of the recorder, not the wall. Leave it unplugged for 10 or 15 minutes. For good measure disconnect the cable 'in' connection as well. Once both lines are plugged back in it will go through its self-check diagnostics. Leave it alone for awhile (give it time to consider the error of it's ways). If you are lucky, when you turn it back on it will ask you to verify the channel lineup. If this does work, and all the channel info is correct, press 'enter' (lineup 1 highlighted). Good luck! This is an awesome machine, WHEN IT WORKS!
