Question about Televison & Video
Poltergeist ! definitley. Probably possessing your remote control, stuck button, either there or on the tv itself. Take a q-tip with a little isopropyl alcohol and clean around control surfaces. Do the buttons spring back out when you push them in? Maybe its receiving signals from the great beyond,(your neighbors, kids, co-inhabitants). I once did a carpet job where this guy was channel surfing for at least an hour(continuous), it wasn't my place to say anything to the dude, but then I noticed he was sleeping on his remote control.
It could be a bad switch, with a thermal problem, (picture how a christmas tree bulb blinks on and off), interrogate the suspect with a hair dryer,(not too close, or too long, it will melt things) just see if
heat has any effect on the symptoms. And it's cheaper than the reverse process, the canned air treatment where you invert the can to get pure compressed liquid, and the resulting 70 below zero evaporation cooling. It's better for things that boot up fine, until they get warm, and then they shut down, the reverse of you symptoms, yes?
