My cpu overheated and now my video, keyboard, mouse, and usbs wont work! Whats wrong with it. Do i need a new fan?

Why did it overheat? In cases where a CPU has overheated, it more likely you will need a new CPU. If you can get one. Does the fan run? Is there dust in or around the heatsink? Have you booted the PC? If so, does it start to boot? Does the operating system load up? Anything displayed on the screen? Any errors on bootup? Rgds, Dave.

Computer crash

hi,
i'd say first try a known working ac adapter and if that Working AC adapter works and the system detects the battery well, then it could be the ac. If not then try to borrow a working battery to get your final conclusion. if the working battery still doesnt work properly, then it could be the system motherboard. If battery and ac adapter (working) are not available, then check the BIOS and see if it really doesnt detect the battery. try flashing the BIOS and still if that fails, then replace the battery or a new HDD or Motherboard..Hope this helps you..thank you!!..

How to repair an HP DM4-1265DX, that has a bad motherboard, without buying a new one ( don't want to buy new :laptop/motherboard/service repairs/ extended warranties?

Being an HP it probably has an issue with the GPU overheating if it won't boot/show a display etc. Replace the GPU solder and possibly the GPU as well.

When i start it doesn't start sometimes. sometimes it starts but after a few secs a noise comes and system switches off

There's a similar problem with the DV6000 that is caused by the built in graphics card overheating and telling the computer bios to turn it off and stop it overheating the whole motherboard. unfortunately once this has happened the system can stop the laptop booting even from cold. I've temporarily fixed a couple of them by removing the CMOS battery for 24 hours and puttin a shim between the graphics card and the heat sink. In the end you're probably need a new motherboard though

Go to turn power on and power buton along with all the light just blinlk on and off will not come on or run

Your motherboard has overheated and it's cause a bad connection between your graphics card and your motherboard which is stopping your laptop from booting. They can be repaired by experts but usually a new motherboard is the best way to go. Laptop fans get clogged really badly and need to be cleaned out a couple of times a year. It can be a pain to do but it stops the problem you're having. Sorry I can't give you better news.

Gateway m-6843 won't boot

before we jump into conclusion that the motherbaord has a problem. try using first the recovery cd provided by the manufacturer. boot your computer from the cd rom and install a clean copy of windows. if same thing happen then you need to send your laptop to the manufacturer for repair if unit is still under warranty. thanks

Plug in laptop, turns on then shuts off, turns back on,keeps repeating.will not boot up

it happens because your cpu is getting heated. you need to check your cpu cooler, and possibly replace it.

Dead motherboard

bad news - an overheated F500 is a really expensive paperweight. All you can really do is try and source a new motherboard and hope the CPU and RAM didn't go the way the board did...
