I just bought a crib like this one at a garage sale because it was in such good condition. The paper on the bottom of the crib was still intact and was complete including assembly instructions. Here is the information that came with this crib. Hope this helps you.

A:You remove the dropside by removing the bumpers and lowering. Then you loosen the screws on th wooden bar under the mattress base without taking apart . If necessary loosen the screws on the frame, but should only be necessary if the mattress base was put in with the straight hooks facing you. In any case you should not need to completely take apart, but still a pain!
