My husband changed ram in his computer which worked fine but he wanted more ram. After installing more ram now the monitor indicator light will come on green for a few seconds then turn orange but monitor doesn't light up at all. What is wrong??
Check he has not bought ddr2 for a ddr only ram compatible motherboard or vise versa

Open the computer case back up, after unplugging it. Take new RAM out. Check ALL cable connections inside, also take video card out and reseat it back into it's slot. Now power on computer. If video works then suspect bad RAM. Turn pc back off, unplug, reinstall new RAM, repolace case, but be certain No cable was accidently bumped or jarred aloose. before replacing case, plug pc back in and power on, if it still will not come on, then you have a bad RAM stick. Sned it back for a replacement. I have had a few of these over the years, I hope this helps, but let me know.
