Question about Sylvania LC320SS8 32 in. LCD Television

Sylvania tv lc220sl1 trying to hook up with dish network and tv setup says (autoscab) receiving no channels or no signal.

We would be happy to help get your picture back. The first thing we want to ensure is that all connected equipment is on.Check what type of cable is used to connect the TV to the receiver. If you areusing a Coax Cable to connect the receiver to TV1, check the receiver'sback panel for the output name. If your receiver has a "TV CH 3/4Out" (non-ViP Receiver): Tune TV to channel 3 or channel 4, backif it is labeled "Home Distribution" (ViP Receiver): Tune TVto channel 62 or 75. If using non-Coax (RCA, Component, orHDMI) to connect receiver to TV1, cycle through the inputs until pictureappears; Most TVs have a "TV/Video", "Input", or"Source" button. Sylvania tv/vcr/dvd keeps going from channel 3 to AUX


Hi my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network, with the TVswitching between channel 3 and AUX there are some things to check to resolvethe issue. How do you hook this TV up to a standard Dish network system. We are trying to hook it up and it says no signal.


Hello there! My name is Becki, and I am with DISH Network. I do hope that this has been resolved for you! But if not, here are some steps that you can try. I hope this helps!

You will first want to put your TV on channel 3.
You can use RCA (red/white/yellow) cables to hook up the receiver to the TV.
If you are using a receiver that works 2 rooms, on the back of the receiver, the location for the RCA cables will have a green TV symbol with a 1 on it. That is where you want to connect these cables. Run these then to your TV. Some TVs will give you an input number next to these connections, such as Video 1 or 2.
After these are connected, try to cycle the inputs on your TV. You can do this with the buttons on the side of the TV, or with the remote. Go slow, becuase it can take a few seconds for the input to actually change. If this does not work, try to go to channel 4 and repeat the steps.

You could also use coax cable to connect from your receiver to the TV. The connection on the back of the receiver will simply say channel 3/4. And that is just what you do, put the TV on channel 3 or 4.

Hi, my Phillips was hooked up and working fine directly to the DISH receiver using the HDMI 1. I moved and had to put the DISH receiver in another room and ran a coax cable to where the TV is now using...

Sounds like the TV may need to be on ch 73 cable rather than 60 air. Try switching the TV to 73, if it goes to 69 then put back on 60, if goes to 73 good. Once you have that set go to your TV1 and bring up the menu. Go to System Setup (6) -> Installation (1) -> Modulator Setup (5) and change the TV2 setup to either cable if on 73 or air if on 60 and the picture should come in if everything's hooked up.

Replaced a tv with a new this is controlled with remote # 2, get a no signal on the screen. This is a Sylvania model. Remote # 1 works fine.


Hi, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. The first trouble shooting step you are going to want to try is changing your channel on the new TV to 73 then if you still do not see a picture try channel 60. If you are still not seeing a picture you may need to change the options on your TV1 in the modulator set up screen. In order to change the options you will need to press the Menu button on TV1 then 6(system setup), 1(installation) and 5(modulator setup). Once you are in the modulator setup screen you will need to change the small purple dot from air to cable or cable to air depending on which spot it is already in on the TV2 out option. Once you have changed the position of purple dot you will see the channel number change from 60 to 73 or vice versa. After you have changed the number on TV2 out you will need to select done and cancel out of all the menus. Once you are finished you will need to go to your TV2 location and set the channel to whichever channel the modulator set up was set to, to see if there is now a picture. If none of these options are working for you, you may need to run a channel scan on your new TV. You might need to contact your TV manufacture so that they can walk you through the TV menus to run a channel scan. I bought a new TV for my #2, but is says I'm not getting a signal when I hook it up to the cable. I have it on channel 60

You can go to TV 1 to make sure TV 2 is suppose to be set to channel 60. Did you run the auto setup on your TV? If you have already run the auto setup on your TV, unplug the receiver from the electrical outlet for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. This will make the receiver reboot and re-acquire satellite signal. Then see if you get a picture on your TV 2. If not, the last thing you can try is changing the channel from 60 to 73 through the receiver.

With your DISH remote at TV 1, press the Menu button - Main Menu will display on the TV 1. Then press 6 (System Setup), 1 (Installation), and 5 (Modulator Setup). On the Modulator Setup screen, move over to TV 2 Out and select Cable, then press select on the remote. This will automatically change the channel from 60 to 73. Highlight Done on the right and press select. Cancel out of each screen till you get back to the TV screen. Go to TV 2 and put the TV on channel 73. You should get a picture. I hope this helps.

Trying to setup tv 2, just upgraded the tv from an old school analog set to a brand new phillips 40pfl3705d/f7. can't get a signal on the tv and have tried both "air" and "cable"...


Hi carltonmarcumy name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and for the TV2 you want the Modularset to cable and channel 73, and then make sure the TV itself is set to channel73. After you have the modular set to channel 73 and the TV set to channel 73and you do not see a DISH Network picture you will then make sure theconnections from the wall to the TV are tight as well as from the receiver tothe wall. Then you will want to unplug the receiver for 10 seconds and plug itback in it will power up and acquire the signal and once you see that check TV2and you should see the same thing on the screen. Have you tried channel 3 or the video input channels.
The Tv only needs the one channel that the signal from the box is sent on.
All the viewing channels will be changed through the satellite box.

No TV signal


If it's hooked to Dish network, you have a receiver to connect to the TV. If you're using the receiver's RF output on channel 3 or 4 to the TV's antenna jack, you need to have the receiver on while the TV is scanning or it won't add the receiver's output channel. You can rescan channels after you turn the receiver on. If the TV has AV input jacks and you're connecting the receiver that way, you need to switch the TV to the AV input. That may be difficult or even impossible without the TV remote.
