Hello . . .
I have problem with resolution . . . .
Ones i had connect my laptop (HP pavilion dv2601tu) with tv with s-video connection its work corectlly but after few days one when i removed plug my screen resolution not set well . .. . . . my screen look schrached . .. and font icon everything becomes wider . .. at this time my screen was set 1024x768 . . .. . then from graphic properties I had set it on aspect ration or in center the desktop then it solved but comes with boarder . . ..
I was confused but it will be solve when i set my laptop to resolution of 1280x768 but . . i have problem with this i must need my laptop on 1024x768 resoluiton b'cpz of some program work only on this resolution . . .
i had tried lot . . . even i hadalso get some online help from HP official website . . not satisfied they told me to format laptop . . . this will be not done . . . . .
Could anyone help me to again set my laptop to 1024x768 . . . . .
I had done everything reinstall driver repair driver. . .. nothing help . .. Can abyone have setting . . .??????????

Resolution is normally set from the "Personalize" option of control panel. Under display settings it should say something like "Generic PnP monitor on NVIDIA MCP67M" above where the resolution slider is.
If this has changed to "Generic PnP monitor on (unknown) then your problem lies with the display driver. Visit Nvidia's site for the latest all in one driver for Vista that is suitable for your laptop.
