The battery model number that needs to be replaced should be located on the outside of the back side of the wrist watch and if not you can always open the watch up and look and see what model number is on the gbattery itself. If the battery is not the problem then you may need to take your watch in and have a professional person to look at it. Hope this helps you.

I recently bought a watch and did not know how to open it up, I went to walmart and bought a watch opener from the jewelry dept. It didn't help me at all open my new watch, but this particular opener had different things on it to help open watches. Not sure how yours open, but just take it in to Walmart or a Longs and they will replace the battery for you. ( I know some Longs have a watch smith in side the store and for a small fee they will replace the battery for you. ( I'm not sure about Walmart they may do it for free.) The back side of certain watches, some unscrew to replace the battery, some you have to pry open, and in my case, mines had four tiny little screws at the four corners in the back, and In order to open and replace my battery I had to use a tiny screwdriver that I use to tighten up my screws on my eyeglasses.

Watch has stopped purchased in 2011...how do I recharge...thanks!

Old watches have a spring which you must wind. Other watches have a battery which must be changed when depleted. The AUTOMATIC watches have to be worn because the mechanism acquires energy by the motion of the hand. Solar watches must be exposed to direct sunlight to recharge a battery inside the watch. While worn they must see the light occasionaly. If the watch is a solar one and you are not wearing it, do not store it in an opaque box, but in a place where it can receive light (from the sun or a light bulb.

Hello I've had my citizen Eco drive skyhawk watch for at least ten years now. I remember reading in my manual years ago that a battery needed to be replaced even though it's solar powered. My watch went...

There could be other issues beside the battery. My best solution would be to take back to where you bought the watch, or any other authorized Citizen watch retailer for repair.

CITIZEN ECO-DRIVE SKYHAWK WATCH not working

If this watch is several year old, it could be that the power cell is defective, and won't hold a charge. I have been also told by a Citizen Tech, that they will sometimes "hangup" or lock up, and may just need a quick jolt. This doesn't happen often, but Citizen has the equipment to test and supply this jolt to sort of kick start the movement again. They would also replace the battery while it was open. You can sometimes place it into direct sunlight for 15-30 minutes, but no longer...unless you want to melt the insides...lol.

Most Geniune Citizens have a five year warranty. Keep that mind too. Thanks.

My watch is not moving . I want to know do I need to change the battery or it is self wind? ref. 384858.Thanks

Its easy to tell if its battery operated or self wind. Turn the crown (where you set the time) forward. Self wind watches will click as you turn the crown. If its battery operated then you will hear no clicks. Some watches have a screw down crown so if the crown wont turn forward then try turning back. Some watches have a capacitor that needs to be charged! Seiko Kinetics are charged by movement like an older automatic. Citizens are charged by light!

Good luck!

Date setting on Citizen 0510 chronograph

Try this method. Set the date until it reads a couple of days in the past and then set the correct time. Of course do not touch your date or time settings between the hours of 9PM-1AM. Wait until the next day, then move the hour hand forward until you reach the current date with the correct time.

Restarting my Citizen Promaster Eco Divers 200 Watch

Since it's eco-drive you can just wear it for a few hours and it should self-wind. The problem is that when it sits still for more than a few days it winds down. It gets its power from the natural movement of your wrist as you walk around.

Once it starts ticking again you'll just have to set the time correctly.
