Question about Canon PIXMA MP530 All-In-One InkJet Printer
It's a mechanical error. The mechanism just below the printhead might be stuck. It could happen when the printer is not used for some time, the ink around the mechanism dried up. To fix this, you need to clean that mechanism. Try to move the printhead carriage to the left to expose the mechanism below it, this is the part of the printer that clean the printhead. Use a lint free cloth with some rubbing alcohol and wipe that mechanism clean especially the rubber that looks like a wiper. You will know when it's fixed when you try to slide that mechanism to the right or towards the back of the printer it should snap back freely to where it should be. Check also if there are any object, a tiny piece of paper maybe, that is keeping the mechanism from moving freely.
