There are two vertical fonts - small and normal. To put the labeler into vertical mode, hold down the [Code] key and tap the [J] key.
When it asks " 1-9 ", let go of the [Code] key.
Press the [8] key if you want small vertical type, OR the [9] key if you want normal size vertical type. Then you have to hit the [ <--' ] enter key.
Now you are stuck in Vertical mode ! :-O

To get back to normal, hold down the [Code] key and tap the [J] key, Let go of the [Code] key.
Then tap the [3] key and the enter [<--'] key. You are back to horizontal labelling.
:-) phew!

You have to go to printer drivers on your Operative system, then open printer properties, general tab, you will be able to check the horizontal/vertical setting of the label there.

Hello, I have a problem with Zebra Z4M Plus

Hi, if is the vertical line, its the print head that need to be replaced,
try to clean the print head and try this to confirm:
turn printer off, press PAUSE button and at the same time, power on, don't release the button, please wait until printer LCD screen come on, then release button. It will print the PAUSE test and after few 3-4 prints, u can turn off and on again otherwise printer not ready to print your labels until u restart it. (pause test stops after 10-15 labels). this pause print just show how the print head is and if come with vertical lines, u will need to replace. other idea is (if u can) turn the bar code different position or on vertical way at label format. Thanks.

My great nieces were playing and now prints vertical, how do I make it print horizotnal again? Cheers

If it is like the Brother Label Makers - Get into the function menu, then scroll through until you find "style" or "format" or something similar. Enter that subcategory, and scroll through.

You should find the option for Vertical Printing - then just choose 'default' or some other option listed in that menu/option section.

Too much tape

Hi, it seem your label maker is set to the last(amount) of labels printed. Go to: Print Labels, click; Number of Labels; clear to set to (1) Label. That should stop the run off of labels. Thanks paul70f9

Printing half the vertical, no matter what size label in use.

Some drivers adjust the length of the print area, regardless of the length of the label. Do calibrate the label and also verifies that the margins are zero.

your printing program needs a template, based on the label makers specs. That's usually what causes that, not the printer itself.
