My husband read your reply and said the RAM was seated into the slot properly but that isn't the problem but thank you for trying to help.

I want to thank all the people who tried to help my husband with his monitor problem. He sent it off to Texas to his "tecky" brother-in-law. He said he bought the correct ram but the motherboard went out for some reason. He is sending it back to us soon. Again, thanks!

Make sure that the new RAM is fully seated into the slot. The snap clips on the side will automatically lock in when the ram is fully inserted.

If changing the RAM back to what was installed before and you now have problems with the display, you may have damaged the computer. RAM specifications often have to be followed exactly or you can end up with the results you are experiencing.

We just added more ram and now the monitor won't work.

You have added faulty RAm to your computer causing the monitor not to load up try removing the RAm that you added and turning the computer back on if it works fine then you will need to either replace the RAM stick or taking it back to the shops where you got it from, also make sure you have the match pair like 333mhz or 555mhz 667 mhz if you use a 333 with a 667 it can sometimes cause conflicts and your computer will only use the lowest one, try the first one instead please use the comment below to ask further questions about this if it does not work after removing the ram stick

My TW191D monitor went blank with a flashing green light. I changed the cable nothing. I tried the monitor on 2 other computers and it work fine. It still will not work my computer.

Since it works with other PC then the problem is in your PC, it can be video card, RAMs. Try reseating the RAM and teh video card. iT can be *********** board also. Need more troubleshooting in your PC.

Monitor doesn't display any information. All hookups are in tact.

While it is still power on, unplug it from the video port of your computer. Can you see anything on the monitor? If so, the problem is with your computer. You need to troubleshoot. First try the monitor on another computer and verify that it's working fine. If it's not, then ask for repair and if it would cost some around $200, I don't recommend, you'll get a bigger and better new monitor for $200.

If you think there's nothing wrong with the printer and is tested ok, then start working with your computer, first try with another monitor and boot up, probably it shouldn't work, if it does, then the cable you were connecting the other monitor must be the faulty.

The best thing you can do with a dead video computer is to re-seat the Rams, Power connectors and Bios battery. First remove the Ram/s and boot again, you'll hear the beeping, means there's no ram installed. After cleaning the ram, again install it/ (if there are multiple rams, install only one), now boot again. same problem, try again with the other ram.
If you see no changes while working with the rams, then it must be the bios or the video card itself. If you have a spare graphics card, try it or if you don't have one, then the only solution is to replace the motherboard.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

No signal to monitor. No beeps at start up. Fans running. New video card installed (after issue began) monitor & cord are working fine (have checked both with other computer)

There might be a problem with your RAM you may check your RAM and clean it with a cotton cloth and fix it again or change your RAM and see
Or the problem can also be with your moniter
thanks

TO LORI

YOU NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT WHAT DID HE DO TO THE MACHINE. IF HE PUT A CD ROM BURNER IN IT REMOVE THE FROM THE SYSTEM, REMOVE THE DRIVERS, FIND OUT WHAT SOFTWARE HE INSTALLED AND REMOVE IT UNTIL YOU FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM. PUT EVERTHING BACK THE WAY IT WAS WHEN HE TOOK THE SYSTEM, IM ASSUMING BEFORE HE TOOK IT IT WAS WORKING FINE.
IF HE UPGRADED THE RAM THAN PUT THE OLD RAM BACK, WHEN IT IS ORIGINAL AND IT IS WORKING ADD 1 PEACE OF NEW EQUIP[MENT EVERYTIME AND TEST IT BEFORE MOVING TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NO CONFLICKS WITH THE SYSTEM AND SOFTWARE ISSUES, KEEP DOING IT THE SAME WAY EVERY TIME YOU WILL BE FINE AND YOU WILL NEVER HAVE COMPUTER PROBLEMS AGAIN.

AND DONT LET ANYONE WORK ON YOUR MACHINE UNLESS YOU ARE RIGHT THERE AND KNOW WHATS GOING ON AND IN THE MACHINE.

THE PARTS JUST APPEARD, THEY FELL OUT OF THE SKY, MAY FRIENDS GAVE ME THE MEMORY, I DID A FAVOR FOR SOMEONE AND THEY DONT KNOW THE DIFFERANCE.

JUST BEWARE AND BECAREFUL THE ARE LOTS OF COMPUTER PEOPLE ALWAY WILLING TO HELP OTHER AT NO COST.

Monitor will not work after changing ram, what's wrong?

Open the computer case back up, after unplugging it. Take new RAM out. Check ALL cable connections inside, also take video card out and reseat it back into it's slot. Now power on computer. If video works then suspect bad RAM. Turn pc back off, unplug, reinstall new RAM, repolace case, but be certain No cable was accidently bumped or jarred aloose. before replacing case, plug pc back in and power on, if it still will not come on, then you have a bad RAM stick. Sned it back for a replacement. I have had a few of these over the years, I hope this helps, but let me know.

LaCie Photo20visionII monitor

Computer seems fine, Cable changed. but still the same. This is to expected, the monitor mounted controls are directed to monitor not part of the data input. Thus suggests a board failure in the Monitor. Just to prove the point if you have the monitor driver installed delete it and run as generic monitor. If things change reinstall the dedicated driver Though I suspect this is a monitor failure not computer related.
