Question about LG BD370 BLU RAY PLAYER

1 Answer

Hi Can you tell me how to upgrade the firmware on my bd370 without connecting it to the internet. I have down loaded updates from lge.co.uk onto a CD-R but when i put it into the player, it should goto "Update", but it goes to "Set-up". The blu ray reads the disk (DATA) but i'm struggling to go any further. Thanks.

Hi there

If you download the updates onto a CD-r and insert it into your player it should automatically update itself but if it doesnt then you should try downloading the updates on a DVD-R disk

This should work

How can i update a firmware on lg bd player

go to the website site and see if a newer firmware is available for your player. If your player cannot connect to the internet you will be instructed to burn the utility file along with the updated firmware file from your computer. The instructions should be included at the web site. When you burn the disc you then load the disc into your player and it will update it .If your player can connect to the internet then run a line from your router or hub to the player select from the menu list on your player that should say update firmware. It will automatically log on to lg and download a newer version of the firmware. If you have the newest it will tell you no newer version available.Hope that helps

Blackberry Bold cannot charge and screen goes blank

1. You could have an OS problem or hardware issues.

Simplest first to troubleshoot the OS, by loading a newer, updated OS release.

2. If you can live without performing a backup of your device you can follow these steps to correct the issue:

1. Download the latest Vodafone UK firmware using this LINK (4.6.0.282)
2. Install the firmware onto your PC running BlackBerry Desktop Manager
3. Go to c:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader and delete the vendor.xml file.
4. Connect your device and open Desktop Manager
5. When prompted select "Upgrade Now" (If you are not prompted select Applications Loader > Update > If your device isn't detected remove the battery and connect the device > once the update starts insert the battery again).
6. Follow the prompts and your device will be upgraded.

Cannot connect to internet without hard wire from router to compu

It does sound like you may need to upgrade firmware. Not sure what OS you are running as Netgear is still in the process of updating Vista firmware. Anyway here is the URL you need:

http://www.netgear.co.uk/product_support.php

You might like to try:

1. Disable Windows Firewall

2. In Internet Options Control Panel go to the connection tab and then the LAN Settings where you can uncheck the "Automatically detect settings" button.

3. If you have any third party software, I would get rid of this and ensure that the"Windows Zero Configuration" in the Services menu is set to "Automatic" and the status is started.

Interestingly, Anti Virus programs sometimes interfere with wireless set up - you could see if it helps by disabling it whilst configuring your wireless. It might also be worth trying to connect without any encryption code & see if that will connect - you can then sort out the encryption.
You might find this site of some use
