How do I lower mute the sound (beep) when I use the volue conto on a Toshiba Satillite P775 laptop?

This model Toshiba laptop indicates you have Windows 7 installed as your operation system

Please look at the bottom right of your taskbar, there should be a little white speaker facing right, or put your mouse pointer over it and it will tell your what is is.

By left clicking on that icon a popup will show up with a slider bar for volume control up or down as well as a little speaker icon to click and mute the volume.

If you cannot find the icon to perform this task, right click on any open area of your bottm taskbar and then click on properties to go to the properties of the taskbar. Click on the "blue" box to go to a list on icons and options to be displayed on your taskbar. Select the features you would like and then click OK. You then can perform the adjustments as directed above.

Good Luck

Sound not comeing at the takbar speak not show

Show the volume icon in the taskbarIf you end up finding to impractical notification area to have the speaker icon displayed inside the taskbar, you can tell Windows 7 to resume showing the volume, same steps as before:
  • Click on the start menu, and type "volume"
  • Select the Volume's dropdown menu, and change its value from "Off" back to "On"
  • Click OK to confirm and close the Control Panel
Windows 7 has now resumed displaying the volume icon in the taskbar!
Else IF windows XP
goto control panel click sound and audio device then check Place volume icon in the taskbar.

Not clear cant heaR SOUND

you may check your taskbar on the lower right hand side of your computer. There is a speaker icon situated and check if there is a a red icon which signifies mute. Then you may check your device manager ( Start > right click My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager) if the sound drivers are enabled. Then restart the pc and check if the sound drivers are working fine. Otherwise, you may try to download Realtek sound driver to optimize and have clearer sound..

ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 audio driver installed but giving no sound.

Go to Start - My Computer, right click on it - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager and in there check that the sound device is correctly identified and loaded (no yellow triangles with ? in them). Then go to Start - Control Panel - Sounds and Audio devices and make sure it's correctly configured and the volume icon option is ticked - untick, save and tick it again to be sure.
