Question about Computers & Internet

Okay. I have a DSD 1110 (+2) decoder. The decoder does not want to scan. It just shows a number 8 first then dL then a number 1 with a line turning around and then the numbers 8118 and then it starts again from the beginning going with that cycle on and on. Can someone please help me?

Hi, been having the same problems that you described and im not sure what to do. electricity was down for about 12 hours and when it returned i noticed the problem as well as all 3 indicator lights (red, green, yellow) showing on the front display. im just wondering if you found a solution. what did you do and did you eventually fix the problem?

that problem is common esepcially when you keep your decoder out of use for a long time. Decoder software is updated on a regular basis and once your unit is turned off for a long while, you are bound to miss some of these updates thereby causing ur device to 'crash'. In such cases, you will have to carry the decoder to your nearest service center for technical help

When it started I thouht it was just remporairly but mine was never out of use it indicates those 3 lights with a 8118 code like it will search but never concludes the search until it shows that code again. What shoul I do.

DSD 1131 does not respond to a new remote control which is exactly the same as the old one. the remote is not faulty because itworks with other decoders

Some remotes , while looking the same on the outside are much different on the inside. Example: Two remotes in a household with 2 decoders in different rooms. To eliminate one from interfering with the other, each remote is matched to its decoder.

The Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive and EcoSmart electronic washing machines are...

The Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive and EcoSmart electronic washing machines are equipped with fault detecting software to help easily determine the cause whenever a problem occurs. Not like other electronic washing machines, these ones do not have displays to flash the code, but rather use the eight (8) light-emitting diodes (LED) of the Wash Progress indicators to indicate the fault code. The eight (8) LEDs stands as an 8-bit binary number (zeroes and ones) that must be decoded and then converted to the decimal number system to get the fault code.

The fault code can be decoded by determining which Wash Progress LEDs are lit. Once determined which of the LEDs are lit, write down the 8-bit binary code; 1 for lit LEDs and 0 for the off ones. For example; the final wash, rinse, and spin LEDs are lit; the binary code is 00001101. This in turn can be converted to the decimal number system by multiplying each digit with its corresponding place value then adding up the result. From left to right, the place values are 128, 64, 32, 16, 8, 4 , 2, and 1 respectively. Therefore, the decimal equivalent of 00001101 is 128(0) + 64(0) + 32(0) + 16(0) + 8(1) + 4(1) + 2(0) + 1(1) = 8 + 4 + 1 = 13; the fault code is 13.

Once the code is determined, search the web for the meaning and indicate it when requesting for an online assistance to facilitate a quick and precise response.

My decoder - dsd 1131 does not respond to his remote control.Ive checked the batteries..they are ok.

Don't worry about it. You have mistakenly pressed Shift + exit. What you need to do is to press Shift + i. What you have done is used by the people using two decoder. They use it to switch between the two decoders.

I like the look and price of the Marantz SR 6003 receiver, my only question being whether it suppports DSD data output from a SACD player like the ONKYO like the OPPO DV-980h. In other words can it receive...

Downloaded the user manual for the Marantz SR 6003 A/V Receiver. In this it stated that if a SACD player was connected to the SR 6003 with an HDMI interface earlier than 1.2 then the digital data from the SACD could not be transferred over the HDMI cable to the SR 6003. This implies, but does not confirm, that if a SACD player does provide a digital output on an HDMI 1.3 interface, then SACD audio data can be transmitted to the SR 6003 and, presumably, decoded and converted to 6 analogue streams which are then amplified and deleivered to the (6) analogue output terminals.

I'm fairly sure that the native DSD data from the SACD has to be converted to PCM before transmission over the HDMI interface which is better than nothing. What I was hoping for though was for the data to be transferred in DSD and converted in the SR 6003 directly to analogue, avoiding two intermediate conversions. This ideal solution can be done by only a few SACD/ A/V Receiver combinations, which is silly considering that it is also the simplest. One example, which has made a big impression amongst high fi enthusiasts, is the OPPO DV-980H Universal DVD player (plays any audio or video disc and costs almost nothing) and the Integra DTC 9.8 home theatre processor.
