I am hoping this is the range meter your speaking of:

The company website in India that may have the manual is now "under construction" You may have to find one in a place like Harbor Freight or Northern Tools and ask if you can copy the instructions.

This is not a solution as you don't have a manual yet so please do not rate the post. I am only passing on what I found out while trying to help you. I.e I hit the same dead end you did.

It is pretty common for the meters on the charger to either not work at all, or give an inaccurate reading. They get bounced and dropped, and they aren't that well built to begin with. Basically, just ignore the charger as long as you are getting a full charge out of it, and getting good distance with each charge.

SOURCE: Nikon FA will not advance. Meter will not give reading.

Nikon Fa advance lever loose.

Not used camera for a few years and set to M250 mode due to not having batteries, Advanced lever once to test, advanced one, then pulled lever back for another test.

Lever then feels lifeless and has no resistance to being moved. it will not take a picture even with batteries. any Idea what the problem is?

As you probably know, these are the individual model numbers:

I'd scour Google or eBay for any or all of those models. Orphan speakers appear periodically.

Main electrical panel in office; 1 breaker serves small shed that has its own panel. Main circuit to shed trips. No breakers INSIDE shed trip -- only breaker in office that serves shed.

You have a short between the main inside breaker and the outside breaker. Not easy to say definitely what or where.
It should be easy to check with a multi-meter. If you are not proficient with a meter, get an electrician.
Cut the power off inside. Secure it so no one can accidentally turn it on. Take the breaker panel off in the shed and measure ohms on the wires going back to the main panel. Measure from phase to phase and each phase to ground. One of those readings will be zero or very low ohms. The correct reading should be

This video demonstrates how to check a battery for proper voltage before replacing it. In the video examples the battery has been removed from the unit, although a battery can be tested while on or off the unit.
Tools Needed: Volt Meter
Testing a Battery
  • You will need a meter that can test DC voltage. There are many possible battery ratings such as 6 VDC, 8 VDC, and 12 VDC. Ensure that your meter is equipped with a compatible DC volt range for the battery being tested.
(It is important to note that for the video we used several batteries with different ratings, but all batteries were rated less than 20 volts, so the meter setting of 20 VDC used worked for all our examples.)
  • To begin set your meter to volts DC and auto range or manually set it to a DC volt range proper for the battery being tested, depending on your meters options.
  • Place the red lead of the meter on the positive terminal of the battery and the black lead of the meter on the negative terminal of the battery.
  • You should get a reading very close to the rating of the battery being tested. If you get a reading significantly below the rating of the battery, the battery should be charged and re-tested.
  • If after re-charging, the battery still shows a reading well below the rating, the battery should be replaced.
Once you verify you have a good battery installed it is highly recommended that the charging system of the unit be tested to prevent future battery problems. In most cases taking a reading with the battery installed, while the unit is in operation will prove the functionality of the charging system. This is not possible on all units for safety reasons.
Caution: Make sure that all parts of the machine are clear of obstruction and that you and your meter are clear of all moving parts while performing the voltage test to confirm functionality of the charging system. It may be necessary to remove some shrouds completely to ensure safety of the unit and persons involved.
Refer to the manufacturer and or service manual for more information.

I lost the top radial of a Comet antenna model CA-2X4SRB in a carwash - I think. IS THERE A REPLACEMENT for it? Is there a replacement available?

You can easily make your own. I doubt Comet will sell you a replacement. But go to a local cb shop, or ham, radio related place an get yourself a wire to put in socket or mast. I cut down a cb wire antenna an took out the set screw an used my meter to cut it to proper length. Easily done.

I have a 92 Oldsmobile Toronado that was recently broken into and my igniton was broke. And now I can't start it. I can put the key in it and turn like usual but the information center is saying starting...

I believe that your key has a resistor chip. You will need to find the resistance of your chip. Once found, go to an electronics store and buy a resistor with the same value. Follow the two wires that go from the ign switch down the steering column , into a 2 wire plug into the ign module. Unplug the connector. Plug the resistor to the module. The module will read this value and allow you to start the car.

I have a Domatic RM 2852 in my RV. The freezer works fine but the refrigerator won't cool to 40 on electricity. It cools fine on gas.

You need to unplug the heating element from the circuit board and using a digital multi meter check the ohms. You should read approximately 44 ohms +/- 10%. If it is out of range change the heating element.

Temperature probe is reading about 25 degrees F too high. How do I re-calibrate this

these are not very accurate but your reading are out of spec. definitely
check probe and also leave it for some time and then check measurement (5 min or so) maybe it needs longer top stabilize
temperature (K type) uses mV for calculation and therefore cannot be adjusted without adjusting mV DC setting also (if that is possible on this meter)

I tried to change time on range but now reads 5Ab. stove top burners turn on but not oven

You may have inadvertently set your range to "Sabbath Mode". The display actually reads "SAB". This is a feature that allows the consumer to disable certain features of the range in order to honor the sabbath. Usually this disables the oven, but allows the consumer to still use the surface burners. You cannot defeat it by unplugging the range or turning off the breaker either. You will either have to wait 72 hours for the mode to clear, or figure out how to turn it off.

To turn the Sabbath Mode on/off for the Maytag model you have listed, you simply press and hold the "Clock" button for 5 seconds. These instructions should be in your owner's manual.

If these instructions do not work for you, or if your model number is different than what you posted this question under, please post back with your correct information. I hope this helps you.
