Yes, If your charger is good and the batteries are not retaining charge then you will need to replace provided it is repeating this even after a full discharge and charging.

This might indeed be the case if you had the batteries for a while, and have recharged them several times. Unfortunately, even rechargeable batteries don't last forever, and need to be replaced. You can actually shorten this life of rechargeable batteries if you don't "discharge", or, "charge" them up correctly when first purchased, strange as that might seem.

Hope this helps. :)

Camera is telling me 'change the battery pack' but both of the battery has been fully charged (and the spare battery). Camera and batteries are approximately 5 years old.

I have had this same problem with Canon digital cameras. It seems that either the contacts in the camera or the batteries make a weak contact. On one such camera I can move the battery cover back and forth across the batteries and it will sometimes made good contact. Try cleaning the batteries with steel wool. I am not sure how you can improve the camera's contacts.

How does your rotary shaver model number H5010BK not change colour of the led display when fully charge seems to stay red and I have charged it for eight hours

How old is it? I ask as if the batteries are past their best, they can get to the point where they never actually take a full charge.
Try cycling the batteries. Once charged, turn on the razor and leave it on until batteries are completely flat. Do this in one go without switching it off. Then re-charge for 12 hours and see if this resolves your problem. If it doesn't help, and razor is older than 3 years, then you may need to replace batteries.

Battery won't stay charged

If the recharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Not accepting batteries we know are charged. Says please replace batteries and turns off. Its nearly 2 years old so out of warranty.

Are the batteries two years old? All things come to an end, and while Ni-MH cells are supposed to be rechargeable hundreds of times under ideal conditions, in real life they will lose a bit of capacity every time until they become a bit short of puff. You could try a couple good quality alkalines- if it won't run with them, then it's a real fault and you might as well buy a new camera. In two years they have gotten much better and cheaper.

Camera showing flat batteries

May not work on yours but I have (hopefully had) same issue. I found that it will stay on if you keep pressing shutter to focus or switch straight to video and record - it stays on until you finish recording. I don't know why but after I moved the focus switch from caf to manual, took a couple of pictures and put it back to caf it now stays on.

That was only yesterday though so I cant say its permanently fixed yet.

Let me know if it helps.
