32H540S noise problem

Need assistance determining what the root cause is of buzzing noise from new tv. Doesn't happen when muted. But does still happen when the tv speakers are turned off through the audio settings.

I contacted Westinghouse and we worked through some tech suggestions with them. One being to have the backlight all the way up, nothing worked. I returned the TV for the same make and model only to find the same issue. Must be inherent in the design. Oh well. Overall, the picture and audio is great...especially for the price. Just need to ignore the minor buzzing at very low volume settings.

    Thanks for your comment.

Mine has started doing the buzzing. When the news was on, the display across bottom for school closings made it buzz louder. Any solutions.

Lg lcd tv buzzing sound

You have problems on the sound portion of your board. It could be a bad solder joint causing it to arc to another component or to ground. It could also be just a plain ole bad Amplifier or something. When you mute it you turn all the voltage off to your AF Amps and naurally the noise will stop. Find the sound board and check it for cold solder joints.

Westinghouse 32H540S Remote Program

You have this backwards. The codes are in the remote. If you are using a Westinghouse remote, there should be no programming necessary. If you are using a universal remote, you can use the code search function to find a code that will control your TV.

Tv making loud buzzing noise

A common cause are failure of decopling capacitors in the audio section, and or the circuit board power distribution that feeds the audio board. Most of the capacitors are surface mount components. The standard fix is to start by changing the circuit boards that have the defective parts.

If the set is under warranty, call for warranty service. Out of warranty service is expensive for these TV sets.

A buzzing noise coming from inside the tv but still buzzes when on mute but doesnt buzz when tv guide is up on the screen or when a channel is showing what time it starts

plasma tvs buzz a lot, depending on screen brightness. its probably normal but if you can hear loudly over your volume, may be a bad board or plasma panel. from behind tv, left side = y board, right side = z board, middle = power board ---- bad panel can buzz from anywhere... if you hear all parts buzzing, its probably normal plasma noise

Westinghouse sk-32h540s TV, VGA input, image can't center.

Hello, two things, one try using the TV with the native resolution of 1366 X 768, and secondly try updating your video card. If you are not having this issue with the TV on the other inputs than most likely it is a settings issue with the laptop. Please rate this comment if it was helpful.

Loud buzzing noise on vizio tv

It sound like you may have sound processor problem which is part of the main board, I would also look at the 12vdc from power supply to make sure it is clean DC.

19 in blue screen only sound works great

blue screen is the noise mute screen. however the audio is not getting muted and hence the buzzing....meaning the tuner on the TV is not getting locked on to the station/frequency

1. check your antenna if you are using one. Autotune
OR
2. Reconnect coax from the cable box to Tv and autotune.
OR
3.Use the Video out from the cable box and connect it to one of the video inputs on the TV. Switch your Tv to that component. Use the cable box to change channels (Best case scenerio)
