Hi there, thanks for this, however, its not a home phone at all. Its a Panasonic hybrid system in my office and the call forwarding I am trying to put in place is programmable at the phone units themselves. I have about 9 extensions set up and on night mode they all ring at once. On day mode there are 3 phones that intially start ringing when an outside call comes in. However, even after activating call forwarding to an external line onevery single unit and checking that they are all displaying the correct mode, the phones still ring and nothing gets forwarded? Any ideas please?

Hi Nina, sorry, not sure I understand your answer fully.

To recap, in the manual it says that to begin call fowarding to an external number I should o the following -

    1. On Hook
    2. Press FWD/DND or 710
    3. Press 6, then 9,
    4. Enter number to call forward to (including STD code)
    5. Press #
    6. Off Hook

I've done this (and stored the number I want to forward to in the system as the speed dial 000 and on this particular phone on a quick dial button too).
Once activated, the FWD/DND and the quick dial button no24 both begin to flash slowly.

I have checked the status and it says on the display something like FWD:(CO) 978561&

Our outside line is gained by pressing (9) and the other digits are the first few digits of the number I want all calls to be forwarded to.

So on the face of it, all looks good, however, when I ring in, unfortuantley the phone just keeps on ringing, no forwarding going on at all - even though the status display suggests its all ready to go???

    Any more thoughts please Nina??

Sounds like you already have followed these procedures.

Also, your calls will be transferred to the assigned telephone number when: You have set Call Screening. You have set Disable Call Transfer
Hope this helps.

    Hello, again.

From your description, it sounds like you have set up the function correctly, but need to find a way to ENABLE the function.

But, it also sounds like your instructions are different from what I found.

What I also found (I hope it makes sense and that I understand your problem), is your calls will be transferred to the assigned telephone number when: You have set Call Screening and you have set Disable Call Transfer . Again, these instructions may not be helpful for you.

I hope that I've given you a direction to solve your problem. Check your manual again to see if you need to Enable (or Turn On) the function.

Hi

You should look for a call forwarding code in your manual.

Contact your landline service provider if you are unable to find the forwarding code and a customer service representative should be able to walk you through the process.

Pick up your phone receiver and listen for a dial tone. Enter the forwarding code on your home phone. Most of the codes will begin or end with the * (star) or # (pound) logo for pulse type phones. Rotary phones will typically require a numerical sequence.

Enter your cell phone's number, including your area code first. Wait for the confirming sequence after you have dialed in your mobile phone number. This will let you know that call forwarding is activated.

Dial the deactivation code when you want to turn off call forwarding to your cell phone. Your mobile phone will continue to receive calls if you don't turn off the forwarding option. Enter your landline service provider's specified code to cancel call forwarding.

Kx-t7433 how to turn on fwd/dnd does not work

What happens when you dial 165 on the intercom? If you get voice mail, then try dialing 7104 165 # on the intercom. That sets CF-No Ans to voice mail for your set and the FWD/DND button should light solid (or not, it's a program option) or flash. If you dial 7101 it should turn on Do Not Disturb (7100 cancels). In DND, the FWD light should flash.

Once you have set these two conditions up, the FWD/DND button has 3 states, FWD, DND, and OFF.

When i press the program button and FWD/DND buttons nothing happens

You have to set the button up first. You can press the FWD button (or press INTERCOM and dial *710) then x (500 or 165 for your voice mail) #, where x is 2 for all calls, 3 for busy, 4 for no answer and 5 for busy/no answer. That will set the FWD for calls. To set DND, dial *7101. Once you set those codes, your FWD/DND will toggle between the 3 steps of OFF/DND/FORWARD.

*7100 cancels the button. These are the codes for All calls. There are 711 and 712 codes for internal and outside calls if you need to split them. Also, the No Answer and busy timer can be adjusted by the *713yy command where yy is the number of seconds. A good number is *71324 which gives you about 4 rings.

This is explained in you phone system Operating Manual (OM) under Call Forward and Do Not Disturb.

FWD/DND SHOWING RED AND INCOMING CALLS RESTRICTED

If you have not found an answer to this as yet just pick up intercom and enter 7100 at the phone. This will clear any DND. Now enter intercom 7105165. This will give a long tone and the DND/FWD lamp will flash showing Call forwarding active for VM.

I have Panasonic KX-T7420s with a TVS50. I have voice mail set up at each extension number. I tried calling from an outside number and transferring to a different extension number to see if I can leave...

Take a look at the manual. One of the bits in programming deals with the status of the FWD/DND button. You can make it light solid for FWD and flash for DND. There are other ways to intercept the calls, but trust me, this is the cleanest. You set 7104 165 # and it will forward always on no answer after x rings. Those rings are set system wide and can be adjusted in programming.

If you sit down wiht the PG manual, pay attentiion to programs 202,203,619 and 990 area 9 bits 3&4. A ring cycle is about 6 seconds and the default intercept is TWELVE rings....you should adjust that to no more that 4.

I need to turn of fwd/dnd

Take the handset off the hook, then press the FWD/DND button followed by 0 (zero). When you hear the tone, hang the handset back up. This will work with the PT (Panasonic Proprietary telephone) system. (Alternatively, pick up the handset, press 7 (seven) 1 (one) 0 (zero) 0 (zero) and hang up after the tone. This works for PT and SLT phones (single line telephone))

The same sequence works to cancel call forwarding (except for follow me forwarding). In the Follow me mode, pick up the handset, press FWD/DND or 7 1 0 followed by 8 and the extension number. Then hang up after hearing the tone.

I hope this helps.

How do I divert calls to a mobile number and then undivert calls

pickup the handset (phone... watever) and press the FWD/DND button then press #2 then type in the number of the mobile (or number you want to forward to...), and hang up the phone... then when your finished with the call forwarding function, press FWD/DND again and this time press #0

What 2 does it turn on the call forwarding feature
. and 0 turns off forwarding/do not disturb functions

theres 5 different functions after you press FWD/DND

0: turns FWD/DND off
1: put the phone into Do Not Disturb Mode
2: call forwarding
3: Busy-Forwarding.. which means if your on the phone and someone rings, it forwards them to the number you specify
4: No Answer- when you don't answer the phone if forwards the caller onto the number you type in
and lastly 5: Busy/No Answer- does both function 3 & 4

i hope i've helped

Zero Rings during meetings

With either a Do Not Disturb (DND) or Call Forward all calls command. On a TA-824, DND is set up with the command 714# on the intercom. It will light the DND button. It's cleared with 710#. There is no function to the button, ie you can't push it on and off. If you have voice mail, you can set it to forward all calls via the 711 (vm ext) #. It will blink the FWD/DND button.

As an aside, 7341# stops paging to the phone. 7340# brings it back. Again, these are TA-824 commands.

Digital panasonic kx-t7633

The 7633 has a FWD/DND button. Is it blinking, lit solid or dark? It's designed to be pressed 3 times for FWD DND or OFF....It's programmed as follows, assuming that 500 is your voice mail access code:

From the intercom dial *7101. That sets DND. Dial 710x 500 # to set call forwarding where x-2 for all calls 3 for BUSY for for NO ANS 5 for BSY/NA. 7&8 are FOLOW ME commands and they have a different set of instructions ie Dial *7107 plus your extension to have calls come to the phone you're at and *7108 plus your extension to cancel it. I have never seen it used. *7100 cancels all forward and DND arrangements from your phone..

This is just hte command set for ALL CALLS. You can also set up forwarding for Outside Calls and Inside calls seperately and you can program buttons to do the forwarding.

Your Panasonic dealer has 2 manuals that you would find interesting, one is the TDA Operating Manual and the PTPM Manual. The operating manual has a complete set of programming instructions for the manager and users of TDA systems, the PTPM has a complete set of programming features that can be performed from a Panasonic 76XX display phone.

THe pdf's aren't huge and they can be sent to your email address if you provide one under the Ask Me button.
