Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Ok I had this issue with one of mine as well try this out first and if it does not work Ill give you some other things to try.
1. shut off and/or unplug everything.
2. plug the wireless adapter into the ps3
3. turn on the router
4. turn on the ps3
I had to do this with my alienware laptop and my ps3, it worked for 9 of the 12 ps3's I have had this issue with.

Tips for a great answer:
you might have a modem with an ethernet connection to connect to the net .
if you have a laptop you can choose a wireless usb broadband modem which can work on a desktop also once you recieve the modem just insert the modem into a usb port and follow the prompts you might need some drivers for the usb broadband modem which can be supplied by the ISP internet provider
hope this helps
