If you are familiar in opening your laptop. You can do that by just removing the battery (i.e a round small type) and keep it for 30 minutes then put back again. If not, better check it with an Expert technician to do so. Anyway it is so cheap.

To reset the BIOS back to the default settings and you cannot locate the reset jumper, just remove the BIOS battery for approx. 30 mins.
This will discharge the battery voltage in the BIOS, then insert the BIOS battery back and you can go into the BIOS configuration and set the Date and Time etc.

When u powerup press F2 or "del" F1 key to enter in bios.
but if u have problem of bios password followbelow procedure

here are 2 password type first 1 is bios password if tell me about your bios password it prompt when u powerup follow procedure below

For that you need to reset factory defaults settings for bios.
For reset bios u have to open back side of your laptop then u find motherbord circuit there.
pull cmos cell on motherbord for 15 minute then it reset to defaults.
Also u can reset with jumper settigns read carefully on mother bord there is 1 jumper near cmos cell u read there " bios reset or clear"
It is on 1-2 position right now set it in 2-3 position then power up then all bios settings are reset.
then again set it in 1-2 its original position.
Then it not want password.

And if u tell about windows password
Then when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode then wait until it prompt for user password

then enter in administrator then if u able to enter then reset your password.
But if u set and forgot default administrator password then u should need winxp recovery disk.

First check in bios that your harddisk is detected or not?

You can ente rin bios with following method:

Forgotten the password , without it coputer wont boot

Sounds like you have set a password in the BIOS. If you have forgotten the password then you will need to reset the BIOS settings to their default. This is usually done by setting a jumper on the motherboard. You are going to need to get your motherboard's manual and find the BIOS Reset jumper switch. Once you set this jumper properly, the settings in the BIOS will be reset to their default values.
