I have an old acer 3610 which will not allow any sound. System uses realtek. When check on device manager it says no audio device selected yet allows no options to change this. Any ideas welcomed? Have...

Most probably your Audio drivers are not properly installed or not installed or the "audio device might be faulty" for your system. (Do you see any sound icon at the taskbar?)

Go to link.Select your OS, download & install the XP audio drivers (uninstall any audio drivers, previously install before reinstalling the downloaded drivers from the site) @ http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=112

If you need further help, read the "Support Document" tab at the drivers link page. Read the FAQ "Resolving Sound Issues"

Hope it helps.

Sound restore for acer 3610

Hi,
You can reinstall the sound drivers from the Acer recovery management, to do so:
Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Restore> Restore Application & Drivers> Contents> Select Realtek and install it

OR

Got to http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/
Select the computer model
Select Operating System
Click Drivers
Select Audio (Realtek) and download it.
Once downloaded install it on your computer.

Thanks and regards,

My husband accidently removed my audio in my acer aspire computer. how do i get it back?

HI

I am not sure what your husband exactly removed, but if he deleted the sound driver, you can get it back from the acer site:
http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/

just select notebook, then aspire, then the model 3610
look for the audio driver

My acer aspire 3610 sound keeps skipping or slows down?

Hello

1) Try to update the driver from the following link.
http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_3610.html
Choose the drivers and utilities option and in that choose realtek audio. download and install the file.

If this does not work then I guess your system needs codecs to update the audio players in the system.

K-lite codec pack is one of the best codec available.

http://www.free-codecs.com/K_lite_codec_pack_download.htm

Click on the link and choose a full version to download. This should help.

Good luck.

No audio

http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOUND-CARD/OTHER-SOUNDCARDS/Acer-Aspire-3610-Audio-Driver.shtml

(Assuming that you have checked your volume settings and it is still not working)

Try the link above for the soundcard driver if using XP it is the blue button that says download on the top left hand side of the screen, not the orange button. If using Vista let me know and I will try to find another driver for you
