What does E3 mean on my Samsung dryer

For most Samsung dryers, an E3 error could mean that the dryer tub is too heavy, the vent is clogged, the thermistor is faulty, the control unit is faulty, or that there is a loose wire at the main control unit.

If you were drying a very heavy item or too many articles, try a smaller load. Check the dryer vent to make sure that it isn't blocked or clogged with lint. (I've seen the flap on a vent shift and fail to swivel properly.) Next unplug the dryer and pull it forward. Remove the back from the top (control area) and check that the wiring harnesses are fully seated. You may want to check for corrosion or damaged wires. Next check the resistance of the thermistor (mounted on the blower wheel). (Assuming a room temperature environment, the resistance should be ~6 kilo ohms.) If the thermistor is faulty, it needs to be replaced. If the above steps don't solve the problem, then the control unit needs to be replaced. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/samsung-dryer-Parts/Model-dv665jwxaa0000/1482/0151200/50039961/00001.html has the parts breakdown and many parts are available.

If the dryer is still under warranty, contact Samsung for the repair. I hope this helps.

Error e3

Thank you for your post, friend!

I understand that your Electrolux washer is displaying an "E3" error code while it is spinning. However, it appears "E3" is an invalid error code. It is possible that the error code is missing characters? I suggest resetting your washer. You can do this by flipping the household circuit breaker for roughly ten minutes. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, and your washer continues to display "E3" I would recommend contacting a professional to come and properly diagnose your appliance. -Matt

E3 error in spin dry

Hello Jhunne, thank you for your post! I understand your unit is experiencing an issue with error code, E3 on your appliance. However, could the error code possibly be missing any characters? According from my research E3 is not a valid error code. Let's try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn the unit back on. If resetting the power to the appliance does not correct the issue, I would recommend connecting with an expert repair tech to assist further.

Ac unit turns off after about 2 mins and has error code "E3" on panel. Unit is a Quietmaster Electronic series SM21

Hello
E3 is usally a inside fan error code.Possible the fan is going bad or the unit is not wired as it should be.
Check that your incoming voltage is what the unit calls for and thhat all wiring to the unit is correct.

My Kenmore Elite HE3 dryer keeps stopping indicating an E1 error. The model number is 110C82822100

Hi there,

Well the error E1 message indicates that the thermistor is defective and needs to be replaced.
Try unplugging the unit for a few minutes got rid of the error, but lately the temperature just hasn't been hot enough so the clothes don't dry. You must need to replace the thermistor for full working of your dryer. you may please follow the below steps to know how to change the thermistor -
1. Locate the thermistor on the top right hand side of your dryer. This will be a small platelet with a chip and wires coming out of it. Use your screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the thermistor on the unit.
2. Unplug the wires from the thermistor.
3. Plug the wires into your new thermistor. Replace the thermistor on the dryer and the screws holding it in place.
4. Replace the back panel of the dryer and plug your dryer back into the wall outlet.
5. Push your dryer back up against the wall and turn it on again.
Post comments for further help or information......

Good Luck!!

Thanks for using FixYa!!
