You have to use thin flat blade screw driver to crack open the case, starting ta the bottom edge of the case and then work your way around. You can also look at YOUTUBE, just search for HOW TO OPEN LCD MONITOR.

How do I return my KDS USA monitor back to factory settings for color?

The KDS has an 'OSD' ("on screen display").
Press one button on the front of the KDS to activate the OSD, and navigate through its various menu-items, to find the "reset" control.

My kds k-92mdwb monitor goes black after a few seconds. How can I fix this?

brendadeese, You might be able to repair it. Well your husband or boyfriend maybe. If good with a soldering iron, solder-wick, solder, and $5-$12 in new filter capacitors. You should have visited YOUTUBE for video clips of "LCD monitor disassembly"and "LCD monitor repair" to see just what is involved with making BLACK SCREEN of DEATH go away. Most LCD monitors (98%) use same basic backlighting technology. Here are some repair options for you to ponder over! A. If KDS has a swapout program for BSoD units try it first! B. Contract out the REFURBISHMENT work to reputable local firm that knows exactly what is needed to do the work properly. C. Trade in for new unit. But remember that the tech in the back of the store is going to repair your unit with a little luck and have a nice monitor to give to his kids on Christmas, and won"t need to do it again till Christmas 2011 or 12. I would also recomend a visit to www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm to learn what may be the cause of your BSoD. FYI If K92MDWb had a crisp, bright, colorful image just prior to BSoD, try doing the flashlight test so you will know if the units "switch-mode-power-supply" is in "full" or "partial" shutdown mode. 12fixlouie If this was of some help, please rate on fixya.

I have a sylvania flat screen monitor. It is a flat screen but only the screen the back is normal. My kid was playing with the monitor settings through the menu on the monitor. Now it is all screwed up....

Inside the menu on the monitor, you should be able to easily find a Factory settings reset option. This will restore your original settings. If you still have trouble after this, then your problem is more complex than just settings. Let me know.

Kds model 780 monitor no signal, power button does not work

My monitor does the same thing at times and sometimes shows "No Signal" and at other times the screen will maintain the images but the backgound color switches to mustard yellow. In each of these cases I have been able to solve the problem by unplugging the power cord from the electical outlet for about three seconds and plugging it back in. I have a KDS model 780 LCD.
GOOD LUCK

Won't come out of sleep mode

Have you tried getting a second monitor ? then using it to get to the desktop and go to power options and set your monitor to never turn off? after that is done try your monitor again and see if that works.
