The most common cause of a CPU damage:

  • failure of the cooling system/fan
  • overlocking with inadequate cooling of the CPU
  • Power supply failure
When a CPU or other component such as your 9T15GH transistor fails, it can easily 'kill' other sensitive electronic components on your motherboard!

It is related to your V-Core circuitry problem. Check VDD ADP3181/3180 and driver ADP3418K/J. Some versions having Protection diode short parallel to V-Core pad ....

Hello
when the resistors are burned, means that the transistors are damaged, or the power module is damaged.
and in your case its the power module.
Hope this helps.

My harman kardon avr 520 shorted out. i see 2 fuses blown 1 slow burn 7a 250v slow burn & 1 slow burn 2a 250v 5x20mm. Is this a good place to start fixing it? i had metat to metal shorting because of...

The output transistors are most likely shorted and need to be replaced. Since this was a short caused by user action, there is a high probability that other components further back into the circuitry is also damaged. This is not a repair that should be attempted by a homeowner. Incorrect repairs can cause further damage, so I would suggest that you at least get a repair estimate from a local shop. If you have any electronics experience, we can then perhaps guide you through the actual repair.

Please keep us posted.

I have this problem. my bass amp is blowing fuses SWR workingman4004 the problem is that not only burns but also fuses the 4 output transistors (2sc3264) and a resistance R22, and replace them when I was...

I don't have a exact schematic for your amp, but I can give you some hints and suggestions...

USUALLY when the output transistors fuse there is a problem at least one level back and sometimes two levels. Often the driver transistors also get fried and sometimes one stage farther where the bias is regulated for the final amp transistors. A schematic is imperative to diagnose and repair unless one replaces every part.

Next, to prevent damage when restarting the amp, put a 100 Watt incandescent lamp in series with the hot power into the unit. This acts as a current limiter and auto-resetting fuse. The lamp will come on and limit the current while one troubleshoots the amp to find what is causing the current drain.

This schematic MIGHT be pretty close to your unit:

I would expect to see Q4 through Q12 destroyed and maybe a few more components. If transistor Q4 opens, goodbye all the transistors! The 1N4004 diodes are PROBABLY big enough to take it, but all the small transistors probably are damaged or degraded... The high value resistors will survive, but the low ohm ones that can draw enough current may be damaged.

Try to analyze what each part of the circuit is for... I think Q13 and Q14 are part of a soft start circuit. This amp is NOT well protected in case of component failure and MANY that fail in the final stages cause catastrophic destruction.

Use my suggestion for the lamp. Often using a Variac to slowly bring up the voltage is handy, but one doesn't only have one available.

The SONY STR DE595 goes into "protect" mode upon turning it on.I recut all speaker wires & vacuumed the receiver ...unplugged,differenet outlets...etc.Any advice?

The protect thing is to do with an overload. It's more than likely that something in the main amp section has failed (perhaps a transistor on the big heat sink). The cause often speaker wiring touching together. You should look carefully at the this section for damage or burning. If you have a ohm meter you can test the transistors. If you place the probes on the terminals of each transistor and you get a responce like you had touch the probes together, you have located the source of the overload.

What causes to burn out one of the ignition coil of 03 bmw 325i

replace the busted transistor in your ECU. For Bosch 30011 or 30014 you can use BU323Z transistor for replacement. it´s 100% pin-compatible and released for transistor ignition systems.

Lightning damage

Replace the parts with the original ones, a .5 ohm difference on a resistor on the video circuits will cause the unit not to work correctly.

Transistors burn out on one side of driver board f-2580 at switch on of signal sansui au11000

If it keeps burning out check the wiring section of the board that is powering the transistor.
A contact or a bad diode for example can cause the transistor to blow recurrently.

P4M800PRO-M478 doesn't function

I had told you I changed one Fet that positively had burned. I placed a IRFZ48N, a more powerfull transistor, unecessary of couse but the only I had in my old things. But the board doesn't function and so I searched for more damages and yesterday I found two resistances of 0 ohms opened. I changed its by a jumper and power on the MB. Today it is running with a Pentium 4 2Ghz, the OS Windows XP SP2.

I have the xbox 360 when i turn it on the background is black and white dots move around the screen

sounds like the the processor is over heating and its causing the system to shut down before it burned up the board. basicly your thermal paste between your processor and the heatsink isnt doing its job. there could be a crack on it might have just degraded over time.

this can cause the system to freeze or see things ont he screen. it needs to be repaired before more issues happen.

dont turn it on you might cause more damage
