You have a power supply board that is on the fritz. If you find a TV tech, have them replace some of the critical capacitors, check the horizontal output transistor, the switching transistor should be replaced, and have them check and resolder all grounds on ICs attached to heatsinks! Loose grounds and weak capacitors are very, very common here. The picture tubes should, in this case be fine. I have rarely had bad picture tubes in projection TVs, except for replacing the fluids, and only occasionally. Hope this will help, show me a few hands of support and thanks for asking!

I suggest you get it replaced as it is under warranty and that is what the warranty is for.
I wouldn't entertain a repair on a 4 day old TV, and I am an engineer.

GW-1500A Casio has to be sunlight every day otherwise it stops

Hi gregbrands,

If your watch is several years old, I would recommend sending it back to Casio for service and battery replacement. Contrary to what you may hear about solar-powered watches, the rechargeable batteries do not always last for 10-20 years. I've seen some go out in 2-3 years. This is a shorter lifespan than most standard lithium watch batteries.

You may have an authorized Casio service center near you also. If not, contact Casio at the following numbers:

For Repair support in USA at 1-800-706-2534 during regular business hours (currently Monday-Friday 9:00a.m. - 5:00pm EST, Saturday / Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.) For Technical support in USA at 1-800-435-7732 during regular business hours (currently Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 8:00pm EST for all products, Saturday / Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m)

The cost of your watch well justifies this kind of service, plus, they will assure it remains waterproof up to its specifications.

Let me know if I can help further.

Thanks, Bill

possibly unrelated. try testing the connections to the tv and the x-box. if thats solid then try removing the fan unit to see if it is the culprit.

It is most deffinately a convergence chip issue. The die for no reason. They can be bought online for around $10 dollars and anyone with experience with soldering can replace them pretty easily. I have done it.
