Question about Nokia N95 Cellular Phone

Nokia N95 4gb sandisk microsd card

My Nokia N95 freezes totally when trying to retrieve photos from my 4gb scandisk microsd card.

I thought originally that my phone was at fault but it's been in repair 4 times and they found nothing wrong. So I think that the problem is with the microsd card

Can I use a 8gb micro SD card in my Nokia 7390. If so how do I go about formatting etc.

The phone only supports 2GB or smaller capacity microSD cards. Walmart and Amazon both list SanDisk 2 GB microSD cards as in stock online. See http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-MicroSD-Adapters-SDSDQ-2048-package/dp/B000OT94PO for one of these.

I've also seen the low capacity memory cards at a local grocery store.

The specs for the Nokia 7390 are available here: http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_7390-1691.php . The manual is available here: http://nds1.nokia.com/phones/files/guides/Nokia_7390_UG_en.pdf . The Nokia approved microSD card is legalese to avoid responsibility if a badly manufactured card (cheap/counterfeit) does damage or fails to store your data.Go with a brand like Kingston or SanDisk that have a reputation of manufacturing good memory products.

I hope this helps.

My Nokia E63 display a message of ' Phone memory full " and also says 'Please delete files'. Which files to delete and how ? Thanks. Partha

I woud clean up your mobile phone by:
  • Copying your photos on your handset to your PC/Laptop and deleting most of the photos as they can take up a large amount of memory.
  • There are physical available memory limits to the total number of SMS/Messages in your Inbox/Outbox/Sent/Other folders: delete old SMS/messages.
  • There are physical available memory limits in the total number of contacts: delete all redundant directories entries.
You can also try using a bigger microSD card to alleviate your memory limitation.

Hope it helps.

I bought a scandisk 2gb microSD for my Nokia 5310, but when I put it in my phone won't power on correctly. How do I fix this?

That card is not good, i think. Try any other card, if it works, then, go for the replace of the card.

Format the memory card on the computer. You must have an memory card reader. And also format your cellphone.

5310 failure when instert 2GB microSD

hi thanks for using fixya!!!

You know what, I experienced the same problem, What i did, I bought a new microSD card 2GB, and now it is working fine.

I suggest to you that, try to reformat your SD card, then insert it again, if still the same, buy a new one, it is very affordable I can say.

Good luck!!!

Don't forget to rate my solution!! thanks!

MY PHONE KEEPS FREEZING

The problem could be the memory card. Try and remove the memory card and if the phone is normal the memory card is dead. I do not know of any means of retrieving your lost data. Sorry.

I would search google for "file recovery" software and run that on your microSD disk, just like you would a floppy or hard disk and see if it will find anything.
