Question about Bissell 3594 CleanView PowerTrak Bagless Upright Vacuum

Replacement parts... I've got a 3594 Bissell and the belt has come completely off. In the process of breaking, it bent the metal guide inside the motor housing and melted the plastic that holds the guide and keeps the belt inline with the roller. I've got it running again by using a screw I filed all the threads off of, but it only works for 10 minutes at a time before breaking another belt. This process is getting expensive, as it usually takes 30 minutes to completely vacuum the house. Is there an exploded view of the parts and materials somewhere? Bissells site is no help. It's only got standard replacement stuff and I think I need to replace the whole motor housing. Unless someone here has a fix.

    Thanks a ton...
I really like this vacuum and it would be a shame to replace it over $30 part.

Out of curiosity, where did you pull the part number off of? I searched for hours with no luck before finding this site.....

    Again, thanks.

Most likely it is the top cover that needs to be replaced, part #2031238 and is around $30. It would have that guide on it.

Brush bar wont turn, Bissell smells like burning rubber

The belt just goes from the motor shaft to the brush roll. Do the ends of the brush trun freely, or is one of them froze up, if so replace the brush roll. If it is ok, try to turn the brush roll by hand, maybe the belt got pinched and won't move.

Bissell revolution roller won't turn

Did you check the brush roll, if one of the ends is melted together and won't turn, then the belt will just slip and overheat.

The brush bearings wear out on these things. I know I replaced mine twice before buying new carpet. I've had it for 10 years,
You can order these parts on the Bissell website:

Roller brush won't spin (bissel 6390/3910 series)

I just fixed mine. It took me all of 10 minutes. Pull the brush out. Stand the brush on end on the edge of your study work bench/table top. while holding the brush vertical( on end) take a small phillips screwdriver and tap using a hammer on the metal pin you see in the middle of the brush. Keep tamping and the whole assembly will come apart. What you will have then is a long metal shaft, 2 bearings(they are acutally skateboard wheel bearings same number same make). Clean the gobbed up hair with a razor blade and then reassemble by tapping back together. The bearing wont be worn out because they are way too tough for a vaccum. We used ride down hills on them! a ten minute fix wow and you wont have to drive to vacuum shop and spend $$ and time

Bissell 3594 vacuum won't suck..

Hello Bisselluser!

I had the same problem, and figured out it was the belt. Mine slipped off.

Just remove the bottom plate (four screws) and there it is!

I hope this works for you. Mine is working fine now. :)
