The Dryer dont work - Washing Machines

Hi Lisa, Seems like a faulty door switch but that's only my opinion.. The link below is a user manual for dryer, I had a look

There are several bimetallic heat sensor switches in a dryer. Check them first, then the continuity of the door switch, then the control unit ( I usually get mine rebuilt), finally the motor as a last resort.

If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch.

Disconnect the rear vent off the dryer itself and try again. If heat does work the vent tubing is clogged

NO, You will need to get an electrician to install a NEMA 14-30R outlet for your dryer, the electrician will know what you need, in anycase a 240V 30amp outlet is needed if you dont already have one. DONT replace the plug.

Can you feel air blowing out the vent on the dryer itself? The reason I ask is if you dont feel any air blowing out your blower fan isnt working and wouldn't matter if vent was clear if you dont have any air movement.

You dont need to check motor first. start from door switch. check the continuity of the switch if not making a peep sound when you press the button replace the switch button.
