Canon Powershot G2. Why won't it turn on even though battery has been charged?

If it have't turned on, how do you know that battery is charged? Maybe battery too low and has no power to turn on your device.

Get an electronic tester and check the output of you battery

My nikon coolpix P510 will not turn on even though the battery tests as fully charged. What can I do to fix it?

You should provide more detail, but if that is all you know about the problem, it sounds as though the power switch is defective or the battery is not making full contact. First look into the battery compartment and see if all the contacts are visible. Check the battery contacts too. If both of those are okay, and the battery is seating properly, suspect the power switch.

Fuji troubleshooting

Doesn't sound like the camera is the problem. It could be the battery or the battery charger, though. Manufacturers do produce bad products sometimes (the battery could have a bad connection in it, or the charger might simply not be trickling power to the batter correctly). When you say you "haven't used it in a while" though, how long do you mean? Most rechargeable batteries do actually lose their ability to hold a charge over time, even if you aren't using them. So even though that battery has only been used a couple times, if it's 2 or 3 years old, it's at the end of its life and likely is dead. The same thing happens to laptop computer batteries, remote controlled cars, cellular phones, etc.

I would suggest checking eBay for a replacement battery. You can very often find a non-name-brand one that works exactly like the Fuji one did (and sometimes even find original Fuji ones for much less than retail as well). In any event, the battery is definitely the first thing I would change out. It is absolutely the most likely culprit of your trouble.

Camera not working even though charged

If the camera has recently been dropped you may have lens damage that is preventing it from powering up. If it hasn't been dropped your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera and give them a full charge. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, it may be time for new batteries, or the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Battery empty message

Put brand new batteries in. The battery empty message means there is no "juice" or power left in the batteries. If they are recharagable batteries, "re-juice" them (charge them).

Canon 400d will not switch on

it might be a problem with the battery connectors.
They might not touch the battery well.
another reason, it might be the battery is dead or the power button is not working.
