What helps me quite a bit is a simple plumbers hand-snake. Stick it in, turn, grabs gookus, pulls good out, and all is good. ..takes 5 minutes. Otherwise you'll have to release top clips with putty knife in between panel and top, one on right and one on left, lift, remove screws around pump cleanout panel, remove screws from inside side lips of front panel, pull top towards you, and down, and pull off bottom clips.

I cleaned out filter still would not drain n I still get f21?

Unfortunately, that usually means that the pump needs to be replaced. Open the washer again and look inside the pump area. Check if the impeller can move freely and is mounted on its shaft. If there is anything blocking the impeller, then remove the object and try again. Also check if the pressure switch tubing is clear. Remove the top of the washer and look near the back of the unit. You should see a tube attached to the switch. Remove the tube and blow through it. Check the ball valve for the drain for any foreign objects; this is just after the pump and before the drain hose. If there was anything blocking these parts, test the washer cycle again. Check the wiring for the pressure switch and the CCU.

If there were no blockages and the drain pump impeller moved freely, replace the drain pump.

I hope this helps.

Washing machine drain problem

Here's a few instruction's How to Diagnose Washing Machine Problems

Step 1:
If the washer won't start, check the power cord or reset the circuit breaker depending on the issue. It may be overheated and shut off temporarily. Let it cool for 30 minutes, and if it still won't start, call a professional.

Step 2:
If the motor transmission failed or the drive belt has broken, these need the assistance of a professional.

Step 3:
If the washer won't drain, clean out the drain hose and straighten any kinks. If the drain hose fits too tightly in the standpipe, adjust it to allow for a minimum of 1.25 inches for airflow so water can drain.

Step 4:
If the washer won't fill or fills slowly, turn the faucet handles counterclockwise as far as possible. This is usually the result of partially open faucets.

Step 5:
Call a profession if the washer overfills. This means the water-inlet valve or switch is defective.

I need to force my lg tromm to drain

My LG Tromm washer has a small door on the bottom left hand side on the front of the washer. Open the door and you will find the drain filter and a stoppered, small rubber tube. Position something to capture the washer water under the small rubber tube and pull the plug.. This will drain all the water from the washer.

Won't spin out. Has an LE error message

This a common problem for all front loaders. Your washer will not drain or work 'cause your outlet filter is clogged or an unusually heavy load. The small door is on the left side front bottom of your washer. Remove the door with a putty knife or thin butter knife inserted in the middle top of the access panel door. Drain the water from the filter housing by pulling the tube out of the clip and unplugging, allow it to run into a bucket while the machine is in spin only mode. This mode is acheived when the washer is first powered on press the spin button until no spin is reached then run. Run in this mode until no water is draining from the tube in the bucket. Keep the tube as low as possible. When water has stopped coming out of the tube turn off the washer and unplug from the wall. This step is important because this resets the fault. Expect some water to come out when you open the filter housing by turning counterclockwise until you can pull the filter from its housing. Clean out your filter, return to housing turning clockwise until seated and recap the tube and place in the holder, refit the cover and plug back into the wall. Fixed. You may also need to lighten the load a bit but I always try full on load anyways. If it fails again just lighten, unplug wait >1 minute then replug and run.

Tub doesn't completely drain

You should clean drain tube, filter and check pump. Open bottom cover by uncrew two bolts on both sides. Remove drain tube and clean filter. When done let me know if it is fixed so we can go further.

Thanks

The last 3 times after using my top load Kenmore clothes washer, a mud spot (1/2" diameter) keeps reappearing in the bottom of the cylinder. Should I use draino to clean the drainage system or clean the...

DO NOT use Draino or any other drain clog removal chemicals to clean a washer. It could damage the tub seal, drain lines and/or pump & impeller. If you wish to clean the washer, you need to access the drain pump and remove the drain lines and flush them out. The following link explains how you can access and remove the pump:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3794382-replacing_water_pump_whirlpool_top

I would recommend you UNPLUG the washer and take it to a location where you can flush water through it. Preferrably outside, or in a garage. If you lie the drain hose on the floor and fill the wash tub with a garden hose, simple gravity will flush water through the tub basin, drain pump and drain lines.

If you have any questions about these procedures, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

NOTE: The drain pump has only one moving part (the impeller). It is a common place for debris to collect. Remove the two drain hoses on the pump to inspect.

"OE" message

OE is actually DE - Drain Error. Pop open the little door on the bottom left of your washer, and unscrew the cap on the little tube on the left. ***Water will drain out!***
Once the water is out, unscrew the bigger tube on the right. This holds your drain filter. It is likely clogged, so clean it out and reinstall the filter and cap from the small hose.
Hopefully this fixes it!

Kenmore Front loader clogged up

open the back panel to access the hoses. look for the largest-diameter round hose and disconnect it. this should be the drain hose. it also should lead to a vertical-rising pipe or hose that then dumps downward (U-tube at top) into your house piping outside the washer. My hunch is the clog is somewhere before the area where you disconnected and may need to remove all hoses from the pump and also clean pump's impeller.
