Question about Tasco Optics

Open Question

I have a lovely little pair of Tasco 3x opera style glasses which need the left gold eyering replaced. They bear the # 594 and 24kgp which I assume describes the gold plating. Is it possible to purchase the necessary part somewhere? Thank you, Susan in Oregon

SOURCE: glass top is scratched and discolored...can you

GLASS MAINTOP ASSY
Part Number PS253905
price around $812.92

Replaced main glass cooking surface on cooktop

First, shut of the breaker to the cooktop.
Then removed two screws to release brackets holding cooktop down. Then lifted the cooktop out of the recess in the counter top and removed the screws around the outside of the glass top. Removed the old, cracked top, by unplugging from the motherboard.
Turned the new cooktop upside down on table and placed weather stripping around the entire underside outside edge (to keep spills from going under the cooktop and cushion the cooktop from the counter top.
Then plugged the new cooktop into the motherboard, replaced screws around outside edge, lowered the cooktop into the recess in the counter, and reinserted the two screws into the hold-down brackets.
Turned the breaker back on.
Note: Just need Screw drivers and 40 minutes of your time.

I built up my 660 luminova think i did it right no manuel still cant see anything

This is a reflector style telescope with a mirror on the bottom. The focuser end is the UP end. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. DO NOT USE the 2x or 3x barlow if you have one-- practice focusing on a distant object during the day time and NEVER point the scope at the sun.

Hi, We're looking for a power supply for a Tasco Starguide 80. Not sure what voltage etc it needs. Any help much appreciated!

12 volts-- a car starter battery with the correct 12 volt cigarette light style plug will work just fine. Contact TASCO for the correct power cord--

I have a tasco galaxsee 46-114375 and i do not

Here is the manual:

http://www.tasco.com/products/manuals/46060675_TML-722.pdf

Why don't you locate a local Astronomy club and have the members help you with your telescope. This is a REFLECTOR style telescope with a mirror in the bottom. The focuser end is point UP == take the lens cap off, put in the eyepiece with the largest number written on it and practice focusing on a distant object during the day time.

I have an old tasco 7x-15x35 zoom binocular. model #100. I lost the right rubber eye cup. Where can I purchase a replacement from........Thanks

You can't.

Tasco optical products are very cheaply made items, usually bought direct from whichever factory already makes the same or a similar model and then Tasco have their badges and packaging added.

They are consumer grade models which are not designed with longevity or repairs in mind; they're worth little when new and almost without value as used items.

The only repairs which can be done are by Tasco themselves whilst their products are under warranty. Except for the most minor of repairs, a warranty claim will simply involve exchanging the faulty item for a new one as any labour expended in repairs will often cost Tasco more than the wholesale price of a new unit.

Your only fixes are to live with the missing eyecup; to visit a binocular repair shop (not exactly commonplace) and see if you can buy an eyecup which can be adapted by yourself to fit; or to replace yours with another pair. You'll usually find that there are plenty for free on your local FreeCycle or Freegle group but they'll often have the even worse fault of a broken eyepiece yoke. But the price is right so it doesn't really matter if you have to collect five or six pairs before getting a good pair...

With all due respect, 7x-15x35 are going to be optically atrocious, so replacing your current pair is not a bad idea.

Lens has come loose in my binoculars, where do I go for repairs? They are lumina 10x25mm sport glasses.

I have answered your question in a previous post-- not worth repairing. Shipping them will cost you 1/2 the price of a brand new pair.

You have moisture inside the barrel. Remove the eyepiece and objective to air out and the-assemble after a few days. Be sure to mark which end is which!

HI Certype,

Welcome to the wonderful world of watches (my daily life and I love it).

OK I can assume you know how to take the back off of the watch?
Yes take the small black cover off the top of the battery (its actually a insulator) then with a pair of tweezers and a manifigying glass look for a the letter "AC" on the inside the watch in front of you.

When you see it you'll probably see a little gold point near it, press one end of the tweezer there gently and the other on the top of the battery and hold gently for 5-10 seconds.

Replace battery cover and you should have done the trick and back case screws etc.
