I am guessing but I'm pretty sure the arrangement on our 747i will be the same:
Look in the rear for four brackets each with two 90 degree angles. Each of these has two Phillips screws at the speaker enclosure and two above it attaching to the set itself.
Removal of these brackets should allow the removal of the two speaker enclosures.

What size are the tweeters in a 2000 gmc sierra extended cab truck? In the door, there are 2 sets of speakers. The 6 3/4" and another smaller pair. What is the size of the smaller set? I have a 2000...

Hello.. the tweeters in the doors are 1 inch tweeters, but they have a large housing. Every set that I have come across are usually hanging because the 2 plastic nipples that go through the panel break off. They have a self-threading bolt on the back and they all eventually come off. You can rotate the tweeter slightly and run a panhead screw with a stinger tip to keep them up. If you are adding a pair of tweeters, just leave those in the door panel and just remove the metal grille that covers the speakers and add them next to the factory ones. You can just wire them in with the factory wiring. Just be sure to wire it on the door panel clip side so you can remove the door panel without having to cut the wires every time. You will have to remove the panel to gain access to removing the metal grille on the panel. Hope this helps! Good luck with your venture!

How do I connect external speakers

    Connecting Full-Size Speakers
  1. Step 1 Insert the red and white plugs on a set of RCA audio cables into the right and left audio "OUT" jacks on the back of the TV.
  2. Step 2 Connect the other ends of the cables to a free pair of audio "IN" jacks on the amplifier.
  3. Step 3 Strip 1/2 inch of insulation from the speaker wires, and connect a pair of wires to the left and right terminals on the back of each speaker using the red wire for the right audio connection and the other wire for the left.
  4. Step 4 Connect the other ends of the speaker wires to a pair of stereo speaker terminals on the back of the amplifier. The wires attach by raising spring-loaded clips on the back of the amp to reveal a hole for inserting each wire.
  5. Step 5 Set the amplifier selector to the set of audio jacks connected to the TV to enjoy stereo sound from the television.
  6. Connecting Self-Powered Speakers
  7. Step 1 Insert the RCA plugs on the Y adapter into the TV's Audio "OUT" jacks.
  8. Step 2 Connect the mini-plug on the wire attached to the right-hand self-powered speaker to the mini-plug jack on the Y adapter.
  9. Step 3 Plug in the audio cable and mini-plug from the left-hand speaker into the Audio "OUT" jack on the back of the right-hand speaker.
  10. Step 4 Connect the AC adapter to the power jack on the back of the right-hand speaker, then plug the adapter into an electrical outlet.
  11. Step 5 Switch on the external speakers and adjust the volume.

I have a 92 isuzu rodeo ls and i have an after market radio to put in but i dont want to pay to put it in how can i doit my self

I have the very same CD player in my Rodeo. Remove speakers from doors then rear speakers to determine color code of wires.WRITE THIS DOWN! When you remove car radio-the wiring decription on it will be self explanatory. I left the night time driving lighbulb wire disconnected (brightens when headlights are turned on). This CD player sounds very good too! Careful! don't push volume up too much if you are using factory speakers-you'll blow them.

Install aftermarket speakers by one's self

Find speakers that are already installed. Remove door panels, Go to auto parts stores and buy "stakeon" connectors that would fit on new speakers. Crimp stakeons on using crimp pliers from Lowe's etc. The wire with the stripe is usually the positive terminal (+) Use self tapping metal screws, these drill there own holes, to mount the speakers. Replace door panel.

My speakers stopped working. Cannot increase the volume, have to put ear very close to hear a faint sounds

I fixed a similar problem I was having. It requires a little work.

Take out the four screws from under the broken speaker. Carefully remove the cover, separating the speaker from the base. The two are wired together so don't pull them apart with force. Then remove the single screw, which is much larger the the previous four, and separate the speaker from the top cover.

If you chose you can remove the wires from the speaker, they just snap on, but its not required.

What I found is the speaker issue is not with the wire or the power, but the speaker it's self. On the back there is a big round metal piece. On my speaker that piece was pushed towards the front of the speaker. When I looked at the good speaker, that big piece was all the way back. So I simply pulled it back and presto, instant fix!

I hope this works for you.

How to remove and reinstall speakers in a 1999 Honda Accord

really simple process for the front doors. just remove the door panels and its self explainatory when you look at it. the rear speakers are a little more difficult. Use a flat head screw driver to pop off the speaker covers and use the correct size wrench to remove the screws. If you're putting in after market speakers, you will need to splice them. then just put everything back.

How to open the jbl radial micro speaker set?

Bit late! Just remove the four rubber feet underneath (self adhesive). Take out the four philips screws. It's a bit of a mess inside - you'll have to remove the connectors and some screws to get to the i-pod connector. You dont need to remove the button pcbs just the main board. The i-pod connector pcb is on the end of the grey ribbon cable connected to the main board (the button end of the unit).

I need to replace a rear speaker. How do I remove the old one?

Most time the rear speaker (package self) is held in by a metal spring clip over a black carboard jute felt filled enclosure, unclip this retainner and speaker comes right out.
