Question about Washing Machines
It shakes really bad, even when it is empty
Open up your machine (UNPLUG first), look around the motor, if you see two or four brass colored pins holding the motor in place, you will need to remove these. These are shipping pins and are supposed to be put inside of funny little cups near them.
I made the mistake of putting these back on and one of our residents turned her machine on and it banged so hard. She never reported it. About two weeks later, she called, the washing machine was literally retired.
Anyways, If this isn't the problem, most likely the tub balance springs are worn out. Sometimes the motor balancer is worn. Any of those three things might be your culpert.
