If the PC doesn't display a "found new hardware" message when the switched on Mp3 player is connected to the usb, assuming the usb socket is good and the connecting lead is also known to be good, it can be assumed the Mp3 player is faulty.
It probably doesn't apply as you have not previously used the device, but there have been cases where folk have decided to format an Mp3 player as a quick way of erasing all the music files. Unfortunately that also removes the operating software and renders the device useless.
Hi, Your MP3 player would have a software that can be connected with the computer. Download and install that corresponding software. Then connect your MP3 player to your computer using the USB cable that would have been given when you bought the player. Then the new hardware would be found in MyComputer. copy the songs you need in your MP3 player in the newly found folder. Then safely disconnect the player from the computer. Enjoy the music!
No. You cannot take music off your zune and put it on another computer. You will need to copy your music files found under My Documents, My music, zune. put it onto a large flash or external drive. Then install the zune software onto the other computer i havent done so already. Take the files you copied and paste them back into the zune folder on the computer. You might have to reauthenicate music that you have downloaded. Just log in and it should be fine
for pc not recognizing-
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
windows media dont surrport mp3 u cant play mp3s but thats it. when u plug in the usb from ur mp3 player it should pop up new hardware found in the right bottom corner double click on that i should open up the mp3 folder after tat just click and drag the music u want in to that folder and ur on your way. please rank
Go in Control Pannel ->Add Hardware -> Next
Then choose Yes, I have already connected the hardware -> Next
Select MTP device form the list (it is somewhere at the buttom) -> Next
And finish the instralation
Then go to Control Pannel -> Portable Media devices and you will see your mp3 player there.
It is now connected to your computer and you can put your music on.
I hope this is the solution to your problem

You need to slide the black part out (it takes some force, but don't break it).
Then you can plug it into the USB port on your computer, and it should say that it found new hardware.
The mp3 player came with software to transfer songs to it, but the software isn't very good and I never use it. You should be able to copy and paste the songs to the mp3 player just like you would with any other flash drive.
