My computer is only left on for about 5 or 10 minutes and it freezes up to the point where I have to reboot it and it usually takes 4-5 times of rebooting for it to come up to "start windows normally" screen where it starts the process over again. Thanks, Charlie.

Does rebooting help fix pc game issues

The game usually comes with a minimum spec for the computer. The game may require better graphics or more memory. What is the game? What is the computer? Are you saying the game runs fine in WinXP/Win7 but not win 8?
Rebooting will only help fix an issue if the computer has been bogged down by a program (or programs) that are misbehaving. If you have a game that requires all your PC to run, you can try quitting everything that runs in the background.
Most games have options you can also tweak. Try selecting a lower screen size, lower graphic details, etc ..

How to Reset your Router to Factory Default

This is a simple step by step on resetting your router back to the factory specifications it came with. In order to reset, you have to do the following:

1) Power down all computers, the router, and the modem, and unplug them from the wall.
2) Disconnect all wires from the router.
3) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
4) Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then release it, then let the router reset and reboot (2-3 minutes).
5) Power down the router.
6) Connect one computer by wire to port 1 on the router (NOT to the internet port).
7) Power up the router and allow it to fully boot (1-2 minutes).
8) Power up the computer (if the computer has a wireless card, make sure it is off).
9) Try to ping the router. To do this, click the "Start" button > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. A black DOS box will appear. Enter the following: "ping 192.168.1.1" (no quotes), and hit the Enter key. You will see 3 or 4 lines that start either with "Reply from ... " or "Request timed out." If you see "Reply from ...", your computer has found your router.
10) Open your browser and point it to 192.168.1.1. This will take you to your router's login page. In the user name field, enter "admin" (with no quotes) , then in the password field, enter "admin" (with no quotes). This will take you to your router setup page. Note the version number of your firmware (usually listed near upper right corner of screen). Exit your browser.

Computer common problems easy fix.

The most common problem with computers is them freezing up.
When applications dont load or freeze up.
The easiest way to fix most problems is usually just the simple act of "rebooting" the computer.
Most of us already know that.
but just in case you dont heres how.
when the computer seems frozen and you seem to have waited longer for it to unfreeze than it takes for bread to toast.. you can try the following.
press and hold the crtl anf alt buttons and double tap the del button.
on older computers using windows 98- 2000 and millenium editions it will usually reboot the computer. also works with older versions.
with xp and vista you will usually fet a differernt screen that will allow you to choose various options.. choose restart.
another way is to click on the start button located on the bottom left of your screen and choose restart option. if the computer is so frozen that nothing works you can press and hold the power button unti lthe computer shuts down.. wait 30 seconds and turn the computer back on..if that doesnt work then you may have to turn of the power switch..but only if you have to..with laptops you will have to take out the battery. when the comp reboots the computer should be unfrozen..if not you will need more help ..just ask us..

Im Using Windows 8 In Dell Latitude E6520 Core 17 and After I used it for few minutes (3-4 minutes) the system froze. Only the mouse was working. After about 1 minute the mouse cursor stopped responding as...

Sounds like your dealing with a software issue. Most likely a video driver. if there was a recent time that the machine worked, I'd run a system restore. Then look for what might have been installed that caused this problem so you can stay away from it.

Hi, I need help, my pc freezes and I cant move the mouse or do anything else, I have to restart it. Please Help me.

Start/Run... Run msconfig. On General tab, select Diagnostic Startup. Reboot. Use the computer in this state for as long as the freeze usually appears.
If no freeze, return to msconfig General tab. Selective startup, uncheck Startup.
Repeat reboot and trial usage. If no freeze, check normal startup. On startup tab uncheck everything that looks non-essential. Reboot and retest. When the computer seems "fixed" recheck one startup item at a time. Repeat your timed test until the issue reappears. When it does, the latest startup item you enabled is the cause.
