SOURCE: KitchenAid KUDP02 built-in dishwasher will not fill with water

Couple of things that come to mind here... May be helpful or not - but after all this is free ifo and probably worth what you are paying!!!

Anyway:

1: Have you tried removing power from the appliance?? All these modern appliances use a microprocessor and - like MS WINDOWS - need a kick up the bum now and then - (Well.. with Windows it seems to be every day- hour -minute - or so)

2: Dishwashers are installed with water reduction valves, so there could be a problem with one of there (particularly the hot water side).

3: The water inlet is controlled by soleniod valves (read: electronic valves). If the valves are not opening, no water will enter the appliance, so there could be a problem with the valves.

So it sounds to me like it is your "pump" I work for an appliance parts dealer and it looks to me like the pump you need is originally part# 99002750 but then it changes to #6-917641....It runs about $57.00 and you can find this product at www.allbrandonline.com
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: How to unclog KUDp02 dishwasher

Are you still having problems with your dishwasher? Please post if you are.
To get to the chopper area and to the area you really need to get to, remove the lower spray arm and then one screw the holds down the filter/sump assembly. Look closely for debris and remove.
Check all spray arm whole for blockage.
Rememeber to only use a brand name DW detergent powder (like Electrosol or Cascade), not a generic, ultra-cheap powder or any gel/tablet. You will be amazed how much better it the brand name powder works!
Golld Luck. Please update me with what you find. OK?

Water standing at the bottom of dishwasher after cycle is complete.

Hello,

The leading cause of that is a dirty/blocked pump filter ,that is restricting the water flow into the pump. This tip i wrote covers how to disassamble the pump and clean the filter. http://www.fixya.com/support/r10292354-whirlpool_kitchenaid_kenmore_diswasher

I have standing water in my dishwasher. How do I unclog the drain?

It will be smelly water and if you have access to a shop vac that will help you remove the standing water if not use a bowl or turkey blaster listed below.
Use a small bowl to remove standing water from washer to access screen to remove and check for blockage. Once you have removed all the water that you can with a bowl or cup. You can use a turkey blaster to sucton remaining water from dishwasher.
Then you remove screen and clean out drain and also check drain line for blockage from dishwasher to under sink.

Clean out drain to unclog in bottom of dishwasher and you may have to remove drain line to clean it.

Poor washing quality and water left in the filters ets

My friend, that siemans is a night mare to open. Just done one recently. Anyway, looking at it simply, i would suggest you check the inlet water filter. if water is slow to come in it will cause this problem. Remoe the water pipe from the solonoid and look for sieve. clean it well retry.

Upper two spray arms (Kitchenaid) are not rotating or spraying

I have had a similar problem. I found that I had to remove the spray arms and dislodge food waste that had gotten stuck in the nozzles. Whenever cleaning has been insufficient, this has always made things better. A shame that Kitcheaid didn't do a better job on their screens/grinder.

KUDS01FKSS dishwasher not cleaning

One thing to check is soap usage. Newer dishwashers use less water and require less soap. Too much soap will redeposit on dishes. Try halving soap usage. Also run hot water in sink until it gets hot before running dishwasher. I have a Whirlpool. Same thing. Works great. If your water is hard add more detergent.
