If you are talking about the picture, and it takes a long time to fade in to full brightness, then the LAMP needs to be replaced. Call the Maufacter or repair shop to get one.

I have a red line at the bottom of the screen when it warms up. I have been told that it is the buld. Does anyone know this to be true?

No its not the lamp, for lcd projection it could be light engine problem but if so it should be there all the time, check other inputs and sources, etc,DVD,Blank input, if its always there its the engine, if not it either LVDS cable or signal pcb.

Sounds like your regulator ic is about to go, not an expensive repair but you have a good thought about buying a new set. If your fluid has never been changed I bet it's due also. Give the choice serious thought.

White vertical lines in Zenith lcd projection tv

Get price of a LCD drive board first, then call a shop to see how much they would charge to replace it. If you have already researched the price you can get a better deal. But I really wouldn't try to replace this yourself. It takes major disassembly and alot of training just to get this model taken apart and put back together. Good luck, Russmann.
