Lexmark Z645 Printer. NO power. Ordered new power pack source, still no power

Try to plug it in to a different power outlet without any surge protector. If it still doesn't help, then the printer may already be defective.

Lexmark 2500 series ink cartridge problems

ok, i called lexmark and finally figured out the problem so many people are having with the unsupported cartridge error. it seems there are a few different varieties of 2500 series printers. mine for example is a 2500, came with a 2500 series user manual, but is actually considered a 2580! this is huge for the ink cartridge- as a 2580 is the only version that takes number 2 and number 3 cartridges. i switched from the 28 and 29 cartridges that the manual said to use and the box said was compatible for and put the 2 and 3 cartridges in, and it worked fine. i complained to lexmark that the manual is deciving and costing people money. she offered to send me the right cartridges free of charge. i hope this helps some of you!<br />

MY LEXMARK 1270 CANT PRINT NOR SCAN BUT ITS STATUS IS READY

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it.

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list again, then try to print again.

You may also try to update your printer driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/aKlcOJ. Select your operating system, download and execute the file.

Where is the cartridge located on printer and how do i re install a new one black in colour

This article in the Lexmark website on How to Change the Cartridges on Lexmark Inkjet and All-In-One Printers will give you a step-by-step instructions.
Sometimes the ink cartridge carrier won't automatically move to its loading position even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Just unplug the printer from the power source. With the cover open, hold the solid white strip and gently slide the cartridge carrier to the center of the printer. Remove the used cartridges. Load the new cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer back to the power source.

How do I find where the cartridge is located so that io may replace it?

Perhaps the Lexmark X4270 User's Guide will be able to help you. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/cNbUKo. Scroll to Maintaining Your All-in-One, Replacing the Print Cartridges for instructions on how to replace the cartridges.
In some cases, the ink cartridge carrier won't position itself in the middle even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Just unplug the printer from the power source. With the cover open, hold the white tape in the middle inside the printer. The other end of it is connected to the carrier. Gently slide the carrier to the center. Load the cartridges. Close the cover. Plug the printer back to power source. Hope this helps.

My lexmark z1420 cant print the alignment page, it keeps saying that the protective tape may still be on the cartridges, but it isn't, I've tried putting different cartridges in (the old ones) and it is...

The cartridges may not be seated properly in the carrier or just needs cleaning. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Close the cover of the printer. Unplug the printer from the power source and leave it unplug for now. Here's a link to the Lexmark website to guide you on how to manually clean the nozzles of the cartridges. http://bit.ly/9ZpYd1 . On the page, there are also other instructions on how to maintain the cartridges using the Lexmark software but that's applicable once you have resolved the alignment problem. Plug the printer back to the power source. Once printer's ready, re-insert the cartridges.
