First you need to check the wires and wire plugs which are connecting the control. These multi wire plus sometimes thy might have one connection point that might be loose or even cut.

Second I did understand clearly. You mention that the first control was fading out but the new one is completely dead from the beginning. Try again the old if it is work at start and the fade out the new one is faulty.

Then you must consecrate to the wiring. This is a very tricky situation. You will need very intensive visual check and multi meter in order to indentify which wire is not contact to the board. Also the wires might be damage or overheated in other point so you have to check all the wires at any point.

As you understand is a time consuming procedure but the good thing you know for sure where to give all the attention.

Please note that this happen once that the new board was damage also but this chance is only one in million.

If you want to try DIY the first start with thick wires arriving to the control board and see where they ends if you see and burn end, or even rusty contact, (once the wires arriving to the oven element were burn and rusty and when they replace the plug ends the oven control work fine) or two wires that their insulation look like it have been melt. Check this multi wire plugs remove them and see if the copper ends are all in the same line. If you have some experience and little luck you will find it. Otherwise you should ask a more professional to do it. But since you have arrived to this point you should give it a try. Unfortunately you cannot scan the oven so we can do it for you.

Good luck you will need it.

Jenn-Air model #sve47600b. Today put new display control panel in. Didn't fix the problem. The display now works, but the oven light and fan will not stop running. Also the touchpad doesn't work. If it...

Make sure that you properly plugged in the keypad cable. There is the wide connector that brings all the keypad touches up to the display board, and there is the small 4-black wire connector that brings power to the control board.

For future reference, we repair electronic control boards at www.fixyourboard.com, maybe we can help you in the future.

My clock and temperature display is dim

Hi, this will happen over a period of time and its just heat related. the control panel isn't insulated properly and , there has been a larger than normal transfer of heat to the inside of the control panel where the circuits are housed.

If this is a problem, i recommend replacing the control board. it will fix the dim issue.

Jenn-Air JES9860 burners and oven stopped working problem with display

sounds like you lost power to your stove. if you can't reset the clock, it needs to be replaced. in otherwords, the power outtage shorted out the clock.

have a technician replace it.
