Question about Dell Inspiron 1525 Notebook
Hi. This could be a problem with the adapter. Try to drain first the electrostatic energy of the motherboard. Press and hold the power button for 30 secs without the battery on you laptop and power adapter is unplugged. Put everything back in once you are done. Turn on the computer. If same thing happened then you may try replacing the power adapter.

Hi, I think you will find there is a problem with you AC/DC adapter. What you need to do,is obtain a new one. There is NO repairing the AC/DC adapter. This is a common problem, I have seen it many many times before in my shop.
Also because your AC/DC adapter is intermittently faulty, you may also find it has damaged your battery, so it may also pay to replace or recondition that too...
Faulty PSU are the main cause of laptop failure, so you do NOT want to take any chances. Replacement is your best (only?) option.
