It sounds as though you might have just accidentally pressed a button and changed the remote into an incorrect mode for example, tv, or aux modes. This would in fact prevent the remote from successfully working with the DISH Network receiver. If this is in fact the problem, then the remote simply needs to be put into "SAT" mode, once its back in SAT mode you will then be able to change channels, select menu, power receiver on and off, etc. The "SAT" button is labeled & in the upper left hand corner of the remote to put the remote back in satellite mode, please just press that SAT once and then release, the SAT button should briefly light up red & then the light will go out, you should then be able to use the remote again, to ensure remote was successfully changed back to SAT mode, you can press select or any other button you chose & as long as the SAT button lights up when you press another remote control button- then your all set to go & everything should be working once again! I hope this helps -please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with!

I HAVE A PANASONIC PLASMA TV,SERIAL NO IS TH-37PG9U,THAT STUCK ON HOTEL MODE,IT HAVE PC,DVD,AND NORMAL CABLE INPUTS,BUT NOTHING WORKS,HOW CAN I RESET IT TO WORK,THANKS IN ADVANCE

Be careful with this !
One wrong mis-setting and you could cause problems with your set.

On the TV itself, find the manual buttons down the side and select

-/V button press down and keep it pressed down meanwhile, on your remote...

Press the AV or TV/AV button three times in quick succession.
(depends which remote you have).

First press -/V then while still pressed down, press remote AV button 3 times
The menu will appear and you can change the settings.....just don't play around with it, it will go wrong very quick. Just stick to the objective and you'll be fine.

  2. Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
  3. Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR, Cable Box) However, if you are using AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device button for the type of device to be programmed (TV, VCR, or Cable). The selected device button will flash once.
  4. Release CODE SEARCH.
  5. Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the device turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second).
  6. Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER.
  7. With the device on, press any other button. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.

RM-GA014 remote can't switch Sony Bravia 46" tv on

Follow this procedure to troubleshoot if the TV does not respond to the supplied remote control.
  1. Remove the batteries from the remote control.
  2. Press each button on the remote control twice.
  3. Make sure none of the remote control buttons are jammed.
  4. Install fresh batteries into the remote control. IMPORTANT: Make sure the batteries are inserted in the (+ and -) direction shown inside the battery compartment.
  5. Make sure nothing is blocking the Infrared (IR) sensor on the TV. IMPORTANT: Some locations can interfere with the IR signal from the remote control. Glass enclosures, as well as fluorescent or halogen lights, may prevent the IR signal from reaching the TV.
  6. Point the remote control at the IR sensor of the TV.
  7. Press the POWER button and other buttons to test TV operation. IMPORTANT: Do not hold down the POWER button too long. Doing so may prevent the remote control from operating the TV.
    NOTES:
    • If some of the remote control buttons operate the TV but others do not, the remote control may need replaced.
    • If all of the remote control buttons work, no further troubleshooting is required. Otherwise, continue troubleshooting below.
  8. Try using the remote control at varying distances from the TV. IMPORTANT: Using the remote control too close or too far away may prevent the IR signal from reaching the TV.
  9. Turn the Light Sensor setting to OFF.
    1. On the TV itself, press the HOME button on the TV.
    2. Using the up arrow or down arrow select Preferences.
    3. Press the INPUT button.
    4. Press the up arrow or down arrow to select ECO.
    5. Press the INPUT button.
    6. Use the up arrow or down arrow to select Light Sensor.
    7. Press the INPUT button.
    8. Press the up arrow or down arrow to select OFF.
    9. Press the INPUT button.
  10. Power reset the TV.
  11. Make sure the TV has the latest system software (firmware) update installed, if applicable.
The troubleshooting steps above should resolve the issue. If you completed all the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required or the remote control may need replaced. Contact the Customer Experience Center at (239) 768-7547 to speak with a service representative for further assistance.

What are u using for a signal source? Cable, Satellite, Over the air? My best guess is that you hit a wrong button such as the "source" button and the remote doesn't know what device you are wanting to opperate. Press volume up then down and see what light lights up?
If it is other than "TV" then you probably have the wrong device selected... Hope this helps... Sincerely HDTV GURU JAY

I have a Soniq LCD TV purchased December 2008. The remote will not work, turns on TV but will not change channels, I have to do so, manually. Solution please.

Check if all buttons are working fine. Testing remote is easy. Use your mobile camera. While watching the LED in the remote through your mobile camera, press buttons. When you press button the LED should light up. You can't see with naked eye but can see this LED flashing through camera.
If LED is flashing for all buttons, then something wrong with the TV. In your case, buttons in the TV are working fine so TV has no problem at all. Your remote should be the problem.
